haunted cabin

hi this is kinda inspired by the witches forest series but also has not a single thing to do w it but jennifer's grandpas cabin made me think of writing this so

adelaides pov

april 4th

"are you guys almost ready i'm tired of waiting." corey said, sitting on the couch.

"yeah let me text my gram and make sure they haven't changed the locks." i said as jake nodded, sitting on the couch w tara.

"okay everything is good... we can leave now." i said grabbing my last bag as colby just took out my other one.

colby drove my g wagon to the airport. tara and i were sharing the front passenger seat and the other 3 boys were in the back.

our flight is only 2 hours and 45 minutes but we didn't want to drive for 16 hours in a rental car.

it took us at least an hour to get to the airport because of the traffic but after we got through security, we were able to board our flight. we were in first class so there were two seats per row. tara and i sat by each other and jake and colby sat right across from us. sam and corey were in the row behind us.

tara and i just kind of talked most of the way there and i was telling her more stories about the cabin.

once we landed and got our rental car, we were heading to the cabin. it was 8pm and our drive up to the mountain was about 2 hours so we had all decided to stay in a hotel in colorado springs that night.

in the morning we were going to drive up to the mountain.

april 5th

it was around 2pm so we decided to drive up to the mountains so we'd get there by 4.

we got a bigger car this time that had 7 seats so colby was driving and sam was in the passenger seat. tara and i were in the middle row and jake and corey were in the back seat.

we stopped at a grocery store about an hour in and got food and stuff for the cabin as it was basically out in the middle of no where. you had to drive a good 2 miles in between each house up there.

we finally arrived at 4:46pm

"this is so much creepier than i expected." tara said as we got out of the car.

"this is so much creepier than i remember"
i said laughing as i got my suitcase out of the back.

"adelaide do you have the key?" sam asked me as we all started walking up to the cabin door.

i handed him the key and we all waited for him to unlock it. once we walked in, i noticed how heavy the air was feeling. childhood memories also sparked in my mind.
