ethan left yesterday so i've been a little down but it hasn't been too bad.
i decided i wanted to go for lunch so i texted the original trap house gc that included colby since we were all on speaking terms again.
adelaide hey does anyone wanna go get food?

so it looks like it's just colby and i. this'll be fun.
i texted colby and told him to meet me at joans on third and he agreed so i got into my car and headed that way
"hey addi." colby said, pulling me into a hug as i got out of my car
"hey!" i said, hugging him back before walking in.
we were sat across from each other and i decided to break the silence between us
"it doesn't have to be weird between us, you know?" i asked him, laughing.
"i don't think it's weird. i'm just trying to think of what's appropriate and not appropriate for me to say to you now that we're not dating." h said.
"well just talk to me like youd talk to tara or talk to kat." i said, smiling
"okay. i can do that." he smiled back to me
"so bub, what have you been up to." okay well i probably shouldn't have said that. casually bringing up one of my old pet names to him is probably not the best idea
"um." he cleared his throat. "i've just been preparing for some new videos. doing research and stuff on this one location. you and lex should join us. we could make it a collab." he said, smiling.
"i'm so down for that. i miss filming with you guys." i said.
the waiter came over to our table, taking our order. not forgetting to wink at me before walking away. i could physically see colby tensing up at this. we weren't together but if a girl did that to him, i'd still get upset just because i do still love him.
i brushed it off, turning my attention back to colby.
"so what's been going on in the crazy world of adelaide nolan?" he asked me
"ethan left, as you know, so that's kinda it." i laughed, he laughed with me. "i ordered some crystals and stuff to do a witchy halloween video if you'd be interested in assisting me in that." i said, picking at my single broken acrylic.
"yeah, that could be fun." he said
after a moment of silence i spoke up. "hey i don't wanna make this awkward or anything but can i ask you one question?" i asked him, he nodded apprehensively. "why did you cheat? again i don't mean to make this uncomfortable but it's been like eating away at me." i said
he shifted in his seat. "i... uh... i just guess i didn't realize how much you meant to me till you were gone. like when you left me before that, i thought you'd always come back because the two times before that, you did. which was stupid, i know. but i never actually lost you so when i did, my whole world came crashing down. you were my everything. you are my everything." he said, looking to the ground.
"you know i still love you, right?" i asked him.
"i know. i love you too." he said.
"i wish we could be back together." he said
"maybe one day. i have a lot to focus on right now. but nova and elena are coming out to visit soon, if you wanna see them." i said, trying to change the subject
as much as i did love colby and as much as i want to be with him, i need space. i went straight into the relationship with ethan. and now that he's gone, i need a break to just focus on myself for a bit.
he nodded to me, in response of seeing elena and nova.
"do you wanna come to salem with me?" i asked him. "it was supposed to be a girls trip for tara, kat, and i but then they invited sam, corey and jake so i think it'd be nice to have us all together again." i said.
"i'm down. why do you have to go to salem?" he asked me.
"we're going on some witch tours and to do spooky stuff. it's all for fun though. there's no specific videos we're filming or anything. probably just vlogs." i said.
"cool. i'll go as long as i don't have plans." he said
"are we having a halloween party this year?" i asked him
"yeah, i think. probably not as big as the one last year though. that got pretty out of hand. well have to make a list of who security can't let in." he said
"can i pick the security? ethans parents have the best security and they told me that i could give them a call if i ever need security." i said
"yeah. that's less work for me." he said, making me laugh.
we continued talking throughout lunch, the waiter not failing to flirt with me.
when we got our bill, colby was about to pay when we realized that the waiter left his number on the receipt
"can i please mess with him?" colby asked me
"as long as nothing gets aggressive." i said laughing.
he agreed and we left. as soon as we got into the car, colby text him from his phone

colby and i were cracking up about this and the photo we had taken fairly early on in our relationship.
lunch wasn't so bad. i could definitely see myself with colby again. i'll never stop loving him.
