yesterday, adelaides vogue cover came out, in which all of our friends and the two of us celebrated by taking her to lunch. i also took her to nobu for a romantic dinner.
we went to a couple stores in search of her cover until we were able to find one that wasn't sold out. adelaides fans as well as sam and i's go hard when it comes to stuff like this.
we had flown to kansas and then to new york for thanksgiving, my aunt lori not showing up because she didn't want to face adelaide.
today, tara, jake, adelaide and i were all going to look at some apartments today since were moving on the 18th.
"this one is my favorite so far and they have 2 apartments right next to each other." adelaide said referring to the apartment she had pulled up on her laptop. we were going to look at it.
"i like that one too. you know i'm not picky. whatever you want is fine with me." i told her. she smiled at me and got up off the couch in our room to go get dressed.
her q and a made me think about how i much she meant to me and how i couldn't be without her again. i knew she was the one.
"baby, do you like this outfit?" adelaide asked me, walking out of the closet.

adelaide had dyed her hair blonde while we were in new york. she was really rocking it.
"of course baby. you look great, as always." i said, pulling her waist into my body.
"i love you." she smiled down at me
"i love you." i said back to her, pulling her down to kiss me.
we went out to my car and started driving to the complex where we were meeting tara and jake. sam and kat and corey and mya were planning on getting the apartment next to ours, pretty much no matter where we picked
on the drive there, adelaide insisted we listened to harry styles the whole way. we stopped at a little cafe on the way there for coffee.
pulling up to the apartment building, it was nice. i could tell adelaide already loved it. she smiled to me and i squeezed her thigh before i got out of the car, running over to open her door.
i held her hand as she emerged from the car and we walked into the main room of the apartment building. we immediately spotted tara, jake, sam and kat. so we were just waiting on corey and mya.
the plan was for me and adelaide to get an apartment with tara and jake. then sam, kat, corey and mya were all to get an apartment right next to, or in the same building, as ours.
addi and i walked over to tara, jake, sam and kat, hans in hand. she let go of my hand to hug everyone.
she had been a lot happier the past few days since she was learning how to cope with lexi being gone. i smiled at her as she walked back towards me. she turned in front of me to face the group so her back was to my front. i laced my hands in front of her, resting them on her stomach as i held her close to me.
"i love you." i whispered in her ear.
she turned and looked up at me, smiling. "i love you too." she said, standing on her tip toes to kiss me.
within a few minutes, corey and mya also arrived. we met with the owner of the building to tour the apartments.
each apartment had 3 bedrooms and three and a half baths.
the living room was big and the kitchen was bright and opened. i loved seeing adelaides reaction to it as she mapped out where the furniture would go as we walked through.
there were 2 big bedrooms in the house and then one smaller one, which would obviously be a guest room.
after the tour, everyone decided that this apartment was the best we looked at so far. and with just 15 days till we had to be out of our apartment, we decided it would be best to just sign the lease.
after the 8 of us signed our 2 leases, we decided to go celebrate by getting sushi. adelaide was giddy as her and tara talked about decor for the house. i watched her, in amusement.
"i'm so excited to get out of our house. i mean, i know i'll miss everyone being together but it's just a constant reminder of lexi." she said in the car on the way home, taking my hand in hers
"i know baby, i know." i said, rubbing my thumb along her hand.
"what do you want to do tonight?" she asked, changing the subject. "i was thinking we could have a vampire diaries marathon or we could order food and watch a movie or go out in the hot tub. whatever you wanna do." she said
"um i would love to do that but i actually have plans tonight." i said to her, apologetically.
"oh." she said, looking down at her feet.
"i'm sorry babe. i uh i have to hang out with brennen. i promised him." i lied to her.
"oh. well tell him i said hi. i haven't seen him in ages." she smiled.
as much as i hated lying to her, she couldn't know of my real plans for the upcoming hours.
i threw on a jacket when i got out to my car, the december air nipping at my skin.
i waited in my car for half an hour before she came out.
"hey, i'm sorry it looks so long. i was making sure adelaide didn't get suspicious." tara said, slipping into the passenger seat of the car.
