CHAPTER 39: I'M BACK

Nina

"You mean; I was actually saving myself kanina?" Takang-taka kong tanong.

Tumango siya. "Everything happens for a reason. Everything falls into its proper order at the right time and the right place."

"Ibig sabihin, I was destined to meet Meridith para iligtas ang sarili ko?" Naguguluhan ko pa ring tanong.

Ngumiti siya. "Life is like magic. You can never tell what would really happen unless and until it's done." Matalinhaga niyang sagot.

Napangiwi ako. Minsan hindi ko maintindihan ang mga gusto niyang sabihin.

"Do I really deserve this? I actually almost died. I actually quit to the point of committing suicide." Nag-aalinlangan kong tanong.

Muli siyang ngumiti. "Isn't it amazing to be a split?" Sagot niyang tanong.

Napabuntong-hininga ako. "Guardian, I really can't understand."

"It's simple Nina, we divided your soul into two. The other half wanted to die and the other wanted to live. The moment the other soul lost hope is also the moment you need to transfer to another body. A split soul going back to its own body becomes whole. The only thing you need to do next is accept yourself and move forward. Ang kagustuhan mong mabuhay ang nagligtas sa'yo!" Marahan niyang paliwanag.

Hindi ako nakapagsalita. Hindi ko pa rin lubos na naiintindihan.

"Remember this Nina, you're no longer a split soul. The moment you quit is the moment you die, so better not quit again. I have given you a chance to change your future, so don't waste the opportunity. There would be no more chances next time." Makahulugan niyang sabi.

Huminga ako nang malalim. Hindi ako makapaniwala sa nangyayari. Hindi ko akalaing tapos na ang aking misyon. Hindi ko malaman kung ano ang dapat kong maramdaman.

"Now go! You have a long life to live!" Sabi niya sabay kaway ng kanyang kamay.

Napalunok ako. Totoo ba talaga ito?

"Are you going to erase this memory again? Makakalimutan ba ulit kita?" Tanong ko.

Ngumiti siya. "I don't erase memories. The human mind just can't retain memories of the supernatural. Kayo ang nakakalimot sa akin." Sagot niyang may halong tampo.

"Wait, the first time we met, sinabi mo na wala akong maaalala sa lahat ng ipinakita mo sa akin; you were lying." Nakangisi kong sabi.

Natawa siya. "I just exaggerated that one." Ngingiti-ngiti niyang sabi.

"For me to accept the deal." Dagdag ko sa sinabi niya.

Tumango siya. Natawa ako. Ang galing niya talaga. "The only thing I remembered before was the future you made me see." Kwento ko.

"Yup. Ang just like before, you may or may not remember this conversation. You will surely forget about me." Sagot niya.

Napangiwi akong nakangiti. "Don't worry, I will surely remember this moment little by little- just like before."

Banayad siyang ngumiti. "Don't worry about me, sanay na akong nakakalimutan ng mga tao." Sabi niya.

Hindi ko alam kung maaawa ba ako o hindi sa kanya. Gusto ko siyang maalala paggising ko!

"Guardian, thank you!" Buong puso kong pasasalamat sa kanya.

"No, thank you for saving them!" Sabi niya

Napalunok ako. Babalik na ako sa buhay na para sa akin!

"One more thing; I hope you remember this when you wake up- take care of Bel for me!" Huli niyang sabi.
