"Chill." Colby scolded me when our eyes met. My heart picked up speed a tiny bit as I looked him up and down. He seemed to notice that and smirk the tiniest bit before he spoke again. "I'm just checking you didn't tell them where we were."
"You can hear anyway, dickhead." I replied, dropping off of my car and walking past him towards the front doors. He watched me, a sort of shine in his bright eyes.
"Well, yes, but we don't know if you have some sort of code. I'm just looking out for my clan." He narrowed his eyes at me aggressively. My tattoo still refused to burn or hurt, only flutter.
"Whatever." I scoffed as I turned to walk into the house. I barely got inside before he was in front of me. He was frowning just a little bit and his face was trying hard to stay in control. "What do you want?" My tattoo started REALLY fluttering now. The anticipation of something I didn't even know of was killing me inside. My hands wanted to reach out and touch him. But I didn't. I fought it. Up until he took the tiniest step towards me. My hand, of its own accord, reached out. His seemed to do the same, meeting in the middle. All feelings stopped. My tattoo didn't burn at all. I just felt... euphoric. Our hands intertwined whilst the others found each other as well. The whole time we hadn't broken eye contact. His blue orbs stared into my soul, mesmerising me into place. We both went to lean in when his head snapped to look at the door and he backed away from me. My heart, which had been racing, slowed. Just a second later, Cathy appeared in the doorway.
"I wanted to make sure you haven't killed each other." She said with a small smile on her face. She was half serious and half joking. Her eyes flicked between Colby and I.
"Pfft, like he could kill me. Be realistic, Cathy." I smirked at her, continuing towards the warm inside. Colby rolled his eyes and walked to a car. It was red and quite old looking. A Toyota?
"Right, I apologise. I forgot your ego was through the roof." Cathy replied. She shut the front door behind us. I smiled and punched her arm playfully.
"It's not through the roof, thank you."
"Sorry, it's just made a tiny hole that it's not quite gone through."
