~ Part 32 ~ Colby

I woke up a vampire's equivalent of sweaty and freaked out. My dreams had been all about Vanessa and what it was like to have her around me. How much satisfaction and joy I'd actually felt. I found myself missing her, just sitting up in bed. It was clearly still light outside meaning it couldn't be later than six pm. I felt tired and needed more sleep but I knew I wouldn't get it without seeing her again. I showered and changed then ran. Ran at the same speed to her apartment building as I had running away from it. I could smell her the moment I got even close. Her balcony wasn't that far up there. After looking around, I made a huge leap and landed perfectly next to the glass doors. Her breathing was quiet and gentle as she was peacefully asleep. I quietly slid open the glass doors and slipped inside, creeping over to the bedroom door. I was fully aware of how creepy it was but I needed to at least see her again. If not, I felt I would go insane. I opened the door and there she was. She was cuddled in bed, the blankets all around her and her head occasionally turning in her dream. She seemed quite happy which only made me feel more creepy. Her face was immaculate just there. It looked like an angel's and the small noises she let out of her mouth were so cute. Ugh, what's happening to me? I sped away into her kitchen and sat down at the counter, my head in my hands to calm myself. The scent of her surrounded me but didn't make me want to bite her anymore. I just wanted... her. I wanted to be around her and to kiss her again. Particularly the last part. She intrigued me to the point where I had to know more about her. I didn't know how long I was there for but at some point, I heard her heartbeat pick up and she started shuffling. She hummed and I listened to her sitting up. There was a moment's silence then she whispered something. "Colby?" My vampire ears picked it up. Shit. She can sense me. I forgot. I sped to her bedroom door and knocked lightly on it. A moment later, it opened to reveal her in a pair of black shorts that barely covered anything and a black vest top doing something very similar. She looked into my eyes, shocked that I was even there. I hadn't even noticed that it was getting dark again outside. "What are you doing and how are you here?" She asked me, being careful with her words. I gave her a small smile and gulped.

"I um... I needed to see you again." I choked out, clearing my throat. "And I came in through the balcony." I motioned back to the glass doors I'd recently closed. Her eyes flicked to them then she seemed to smile a little.

"I'm glad you're here." She said with a smile as she went back to sit on her bed. "We should probably talk about everything." The sight of her sitting in BED and waiting for me was making me uncomfortable somewhere other than my gums. "Sit with me." She ordered, knowing what I was thinking.

"Okay..."
