Colby stopped me from falling to the ground. Everyone was looking off into the trees for whoever the fuck had thrown a... no, shot an arrow into my shoulder. My body had turned Lupa in defence and my shoulder was bleeding. This is bad with so many vampires around. I reached back and ripped the arrow out, breathing heavily. Colby snarled at something in the distance. I couldn't even see. I was in so much pain. And not just from my shoulder, either. My tattoo started to burn. But then, I felt better. A hell of a lot better. It didn't feel like I had a whole in my shoulder anymore... wait I don't. Since when can Lupa heal? I decided to accept it and stood up straight without Colby's help. I spotted what they were all looking at; six vampires coming towards us in a horizontal line. Great. I recognised the one of them. She looked strikingly similar to the vampire, Old John, that I killed. His sister. That means she's that old William guy's girlfriend, I guess. "You think you can train them all against us?" The old vampire's voice matched the one from the drive just a few days ago.
"I can and I am." Edward replied angrily. His eyes were locked on the main guy, who had to have been old William.
"Foolish. You think you can defeat us?" William snorted and rolled his eyes. The woman and other vampires were staring at me and... the girls! They're human.
"Sam, Corey, Jake, Mike. The girls." I whispered under my breath. Even if the old ones heard, they wouldn't act. They clearly had something to say. Corey and Mike sped to the girls and stood in front of them protectively, Jade and Cathy doing the same thing.
"You." The woman said. "You killed my brother, you bitch." She snarled at me, flashing her teeth. I did the exact same back but growled instead. Her eyes scanned over me, my ears and tail. "Lupa. You never said she was a Lupa, William."
"Must have slipped my mind." The two were still staring at us. Colby's hand was still on my waist and it brought some comfort to me that he was still there. That they all were. "Regardless, she has to die." Colby growled and stepped further in front of me protectively.
"Looks like we'll have to fight for it." Another of the six vampires said with a huge smirk on his face. His eyes were focused on what looked to be Katrina like she was his dinner. We'd never let that happen.
"These vampires are just as strong if not stronger than you, William. And Evelyn, the Lupa could easily take you out. So I'd be careful what you call her." Edward was a bit ahead of us now, closer to the six old vampires. It made me nervous. Not for myself but for the others and him. Any of them could easily die right now.
"Oh, please!" Evelyn let out a hysterical laugh. She sounded insane like a serial killer. "I'd like to see her try." I tired to go towards her but Colby wouldn't allow it, his arm firmly holding me back.
"She killed John." Sam said suddenly. He had his own little smirk on his face. He knew what he was doing, aggravating them. "She killed him easily. He must have been weak." Evelyn growled loudly at him, flashy her teeth and leaning forward.
"No, dear." William held his hand out for a moment and pushed her back up straight. "Hand over the Lupa and we'll forget you ever tried to go against us."
