~ Part 99 ~ Colby

William knocked Vanessa away from Cathy. He pulled her up to him by her hair and pulled her head all the way back revealing as much of her neck to himself as he could. She was too weak to even try to fight back. My fingers were starting to twitch. The spell's getting weaker. I could see everyone beginning to get free of it. Sam was even moving his head a bit and Jade was moving her arms. Evelyn picked up Ness' arm again. "This is what you get for killing two of ours." Then both vampires sunk their teeth back into my girlfriend. She had very little fight in her left and her skin was getting pale. I fought against the spell that was barely holding me anymore. Finally, my muscles and senses came back full force. That meant so did my rage. Vanessa's eyes closed as I sped forward. I knocked William and Evelyn back releasing a loud roar of anger. I scooped Vanessa up and sped her over to the human girls, placing her gently down by Corey and Mike's feet. "Take her to the house. And the girls." I ordered as I spun around. Sam and Elton had broken free of the spell and were staring at the vampires whilst in a defensive stance.

"That's cute. You think she can survive?" One of the vampires asked with a snarl. I took a few steps towards her but saw Kevin had beat me to it. He snapped the old vampire's neck and simply watched her fall to the ground. She'd be out for a while.

"Don't you dare touch any one of our vampires again!" Evelyn screamed at the top of her lungs. William was focused on Edward, a face of rage similar to my own.

"Don't touch one of ours again." I snarled as I sped to them, throwing Evelyn into a tree, which impaled her stomach, and I broke William's arm. "Especially not Vanessa."

"She won't survive anyway, so how could we?" William fixed his arm, grabbing my throat. Before he could do anything, I clawed the side of his face and threw him to the ground, placing my foot on his throat. My clan had held back the other vampires so I could do what I needed to.

"If she doesn't survive, then neither will you." I said as I pressed down harder. By instinct, William grabbed my foot and tried to remove it but I wouldn't let him.

"Colby, she's barely alive." Corey yelled from some far away part of the forest. A snarl automatically rippled through my throat.

"We're gonna rip you all to shreds."
