Vampire Hunter // Colby Brock

~ Part 91 ~

The stake in my hand was at the chest of Edward, who'd snuck up on me. He looked at me with somewhat of a wide smile and stepped back, arms in the air in surrender. "Your reflexes are good and so is your control." He said, back to being a coach. I slipped back to human and glared at him.

"Don't sneak up on me." I threatened as I went to turn back around. He let out a little chuckle and sped into my way back to the girls.

"I snuck up on you to test you." He stated matter of factly. "It's your turn while the other vampires spar each other." My eyes flicked over his shoulder at all of the vampires fighting. Colby was paired up with Sam, and Jake with Mike. It looked a little one-sided but we'll see how it goes.

"You said it yourself. I have good control and fast reflexes. That means I don't ne-" Edward sped behind me and knocked the back of my knees sending my down to the floor easily. It felt like high school all over again.

"Come on. I won't fight you, Jade will. She's strongest of the people who are free right now." Edward took some steps back. I got back up and looked back at my best friend as she stood herself to start training. "First thing is switching between your abilities quickly." I stared at the open space of the clearing we hadn't taken up yet.

"I have a better idea." I pushed Jade back a bit and slipped into Strega. I created some dummies, placing them around the grass. "Still practice first. For my 'switching'." I suggested, motioning my hand to the area. Edward narrowed his eyes, clearly not liking getting talked back to.

"Fine, I will allow this. Go wild." I ran at top speed in Lupa towards my targets. As quick as I could, I turned to Strega to place somewhat of a step to jump off of then turned back to Lupa, doing a flip over the 'vampire'. As I was coming back down towards the ground, I turned Cacciatrice and stabbed two stakes into two 'vampire's either side of me.

"That was the coolest thing I've ever seen!" Katrina yelled from her seat. I looked back at her giving her a smile then pulled the stakes out from the dummies and looked at Edward.

"Impressive. You don't need as much help as I originally thought, Vanessa." He said proudly, taking some more steps back. "Now keep doing things like that and make your targets moving ones while you're at it." The old vampire turned and went back to the guys. Most of them had stopped fighting and were watching me. I quickly turned away into Strega. "Chop chop boys! We have limited time."
