Feeding on a human is probably the most emotionless thing a vampire can do. Usually it's someone you've just tricked into coming with you to a secluded area or brought back to your place. You don't care for them and they don't care for you. They don't even remember meeting you after you're done with them, if you haven't killed them which you likely have. But to feed on someone you care, dare I say someone you love, well that's completely different. Vampirism heightens everything about you. Your senses and your hunger but most importantly, your emotions. I say most importantly because it's the only thing that ties you to humans. And if that's all, then you need to savour that otherwise you turn into a monster. Like the monsters that Vanessa kills. Those aren't real vampires, they're just killing machines that couldn't handle the weight of being a vampire in the first place so should have never been made. Anyways, that means your emotions are ten times worse than they would be if you were human. If you fed on a human you loved, your emotions would tell you to get the fuck away while your senses would tell you to dig deeper and go on forever. That's what told you what kind of vampire you are, if you can stop. Many say that means you're weak but I say that means you're strong. To be able to turn away from human blood is incredibly hard to do. With that being said, feeding on someone you love can be a very intimate thing. It's kind of like sex for vampires but that's a whole other thing I'm not getting into right now. Since I deeply, deeply care for Vanessa, every nerve and muscle in my body needs her to be around and my mood immediately rises as soon as I see her beautiful face, it'd be very intimate to me. Maybe even the same to her. I didn't know if she'd be okay with still doing it. Especially since just a week ago she would have staked me in the heart without a moment's hesitation. She drove me crazy in so many ways. It was hardest to be away from her but hard to be around her too. The smell of her blood in the air and her smile she'd get when I joked or said something sweet. Don't even get me started on those blushes. Despite everything telling me not to feed from her, I found myself being led to the couch by my hand.
