"I will protect you no matter what and I have an entire damn clan to help me with that." I looked into his eyes to see them full of emotion. They looked worried and happy at the same time. He was also thoughtful, planning out his next move.

"I have an entire damn clan to protect me, too. And I'm princess of that clan." I reminded him. I went back to making food, my stomach feeling empty. It had to have been like an entire day since I last ate.

"Just let me have the satisfaction of looking after my girlfriend." Colby's arms wrapped around me from behind, his chin resting on my shoulder. His body was pressed against mine making me feel a type of way. The little chuckle that left Colby reminded me that he could tell what I was feeling at most moments.

"If I need your help, I promise I'll ask you for it." I whispered to him, leaning back into his chest comfortably. The food was the last thing on my mind but I knew I needed it so I stepped forwards to grab it and walk to the counter, taking a seat. Colby watched me carefully. "How um..." I stopped talking to think about how to word what I was going to say. "How powerful would you say those old vamps are?"

"I know that John was pretty damn powerful but you took him down easy enough. I'd say about as powerful as me." He grinned proudly and cockily as he sat opposite me. I rolled my eyes playfully. "Why?"

"I was just thinking... if I were to need your help..." I bit my lip nervously in thought. What I'm about to suggest is going to be a lot to handle for me. I would have looked down on this so hard if it was just a week ago. "Maybe you should be fully charged." He didn't seem to catch on to what I was getting at. He visibly frowned at me, unsure. I casually shifted my hair away from my neck and his breath hitched in his throat.

"W-What?" He stuttered out. I smiled and took a bite of my food.

"You'll need to be fully charged if I let you fight those old vampires so, I want you to feed from me." I said honestly, getting to the point and staring at him for his reaction. He backed away, his control slipping in and out.

"I don't think I could stop." He backed up all the way until his back hit the wall. He looked unsure of himself and almost scared of what he'd do. I rolled my eyes and lifted my tattoo up to him.

"I'd make sure you do."
