I'd never run so fast away from blood. Every nerve in my body had urged me to bite her right then but it'd taken every last drop of my will to run instead. As soon as I wasn't around her scent, it got a bit easier. I sped straight to the blood bags in the house and bit into one. Relief spread through me that I'd escaped but I felt bad for just leaving her there. Things were happening between us and I wanted to go back so badly. I had a feeling deep down that this was all gonna go too far very quickly. But maybe a part of me liked, even wanted that to happen. I threw the bag into the trash and took a deep breath of the cleaner air. Only the faint smell of Katrina, Devyn, and Tara was coming from the garage but it was manageable. "You gonna come in here, bro?" Sam's voice asked. I only heard it because of my heightened senses. I almost chuckled but presumed my harder persona for them.

"One second." I replied before speeding up to my room to throw my phone onto my bed then speeding back down and straight into the garage. Everyone was sat in their usual places.

"Where did you go?" Devyn asked quietly. The first time I'd heard her really speak for a long time. I raised my eyebrows at Corey as if to tell him off for her words. She covered her mouth knowingly, looking away from me at Tara instead.

"Out." I sat down in my seat, resting my head back. Those two damn chairs still smelt like Vanessa and Jade since no one had used them before or after them. It was filling my senses and compelling me to go back to her apartment.

"She has a point, dude." Mike said truthfully. My eyes darted to meet his angrily. How dare he question me. "You never go 'out'."

"I went out, okay?" I growled, bearing my fangs at him as I sat up. He let himself growl a little in reply but said nothing more, settling back. Cathy was sleeping on his lap happily. Sam was looking at me like I was insane but I just leaned back again to relax. Having to control myself for so long had made me antsy.

"Chill." Aaron scolded. I didn't bother to respond to him and just continued to calm myself so that I didn't rip one of their throats out. All of this over one damn woman... who I was going crazy for.
