"So, we're having a small problem with the lights..." I hear Lando say over the phone. I put him on speaker.
"What's wrong?"
"We can't get them detangled."
"Oh my lord." I sigh out, knowing I'd have to drop by. I take my car keys and put my jacket on.
"Can you help us out? I saw your tree and it looks outstanding."
"I'll be there in 10."

"So where are the bastards?" I rub my ice-cold hands together. He kisses my lips and caresses my red cheeks.
"In the living room." Lando guides me into the living room and I see his parents waiting, oh no. "My parents..."
"Oh, hi, I'm Y/n, nice to meet you." I feel my nose running and I feel rather embarrassed.
"So you're here for the lights? How much do you ask per hour?"
"Adam, don't do that to his first love." Lando's mom nugs his shoulder, making me laugh.
"Well, I'd say five kisses of Lando per hour?"
"I'll make sure to overpay you," Lando whispers in my ear. He pulls the lights out of a box. "Here they are."
"Oh my, how did it get so bad?"
"We actually made it worse when trying." His mom says, laughing it off.
"I'd say, put on some Christmas music and I'll start right away."

"You have to keep her, she's great." I hear his mom whisper. I smile, guess the parent meeting went well.
"I know, I know. I'm not planning on ever letting her go."
"You know I can hear you. By the way, I think it's time for my payment."
"I'll be right there."

"So, I'm done."
"Wow, thank you a lot." His mom hugs me tight, I think she's one of the nicest mom's I've ever met.
"You really did overpay her, Lando."
"I like to spoil her." He hugs me from behind, hiding his face in my neck. He's for sure not afraid to be affectionate in front of his parents.
"Because you did the lights so well, you deserve to put the peak on after."
"Really?"
"It tradition, who untangles the lights gets to do the peak."
