Chapter 10

"Before you yell at me for disobeying orders, give me a chance to explain myself." Thor insisted. 

"Better be a good explanation Odinson." Fury was real close to losing it. 

"Both Carol and I have decided to quit the Avengers. Rumlow was being a jerk to Carol."

"Why the hell did you quit the Avengers?"

"I'm supporting her. If she goes, so do I."

"You're stubborn you know that?"

"Yeah. A little reckless at times."

"This is going to take awhile to sort out but I'm willing to make a deal with you."

"Like what?"

"Come back to the Avengers and I'll agree to let you and Carol fly together."

"And get someone else to do Rumlow's job?"

"I'll throw that in there to. He's a bit of a jerk anyways."

"Fine. Before I take the deal, let me talk with Carol."

Thor walked over to Carol, who was still sitting in the plane.

"Fury's willing to make a deal with us." Thor said. 

"What's the deal?" Carol asked. 

"He's letting you fly with me and getting Rumlow fired."

"Take it. You'll never get a better deal in the future."

"Okay. I like it too."

Thor turned back Fury, giving him a thumbs up.

"I'm taking the deal." Thor clarified. 

"Good. If you wouldn't have taken it, the US government would've been all over it." Fury was glad he didn't have to deal with another issue. 

Thor got down from the plane, a smile stuck on his face. Carol followed him back to the base where the rest of the Avengers were.

"Welcome back guys." Rhodey met up with the two of them. 

"If I wasn't in the Avengers, I would've made a group called the Revengers." Thor grinned.

"You'd be the only one in it." Sam joined in, wondering what everyone was talking about. 

"Wrong. Carol would have joined me." Thor looked at him with serious eyes. 

"The Air Force would end that group real fast." Rhodey commented. 

"What have you guys been up to?" Thor asked the two of them. 

"Nothing much. Cap and Bucky went back to New York." Rhodey responded. 

"It's just you and Wilson then?" Thor questioned. 

"Yeah. But you guys are here." Sam answered, looking ahead of them. 

"They're going to miss out on tomorrow." Thor raised his eyebrow. 

"Sucks for them. Not for us." Rhodey smiled slightly. 

"Gotta go." Thor looked at his watch, realizing the time. 

"Where?" Rhodey looked confused. 

"I'm meeting up with Carol. We're going to get drinks." Thor silently made a plan in his head. 

"Have fun. Hopefully you guys don't get kicked out of the group." Sam smiled directly at him. 

"We won't." Thor ran off, praying he wouldn't be too late.
