3 Months Later
It had been 3 months I had known about the vampires, werewolves and witches thing. I was hanging out with Damon a lot more and we grew closer. As for my mom, she was making money without a job, however that worked. All I knew is that she went out late at night when Adrian and I were asleep and came back minutes before we went to school. Adrian thought she was prostituting, but I didnt believe it. She always looked tired and worn out. I would ask her where she’d been and she would always reply, “It’s nowhere you need to worry about.” Adrian didn’t even care anymore, although, I couldn’t blame him. He just went out to for football games or went out to grab a few beers and them came back home late at night, but that was only on Fridays. On Fridays, I usually went to sleep over at Elena’s house or talked with friends. Damon still picked me up and dropped me off from school to home, since Adrian stayed for after school activities. Elena warned me not to get too serious with him. Emotionally, she meant. I wasn’t thinking of Damon that way, or at least before. I only liked him as a friend… I think.
