A slight reworking of one of my favourite Chilltober chapters from last year. The schedule will be back to normal by tomorrow night, it's just been a rough couple days.

Imagine:

Evan is running late for work so the Hansen household is chaos

Tia is screaming, Mallory can't decide what to wear, and Zoe hasn't been feeling well all morning.

So Evan goes upstairs and picks out an outfit for Mallory and an outfit for Tia, for when Zoe's ready

He picks out this a purple shirt and overalls for Mallory and a similar outfit for Tia.

So he gets Mallory dressed and Zoe is in the kitchen trying to calm Tia down with her head in her hands.

So Mallory comes downstairs and Zoe is kinda relieved because it's one less thing she has to do

Evan decides that he's going to be a killer husband and an awesome dad and he's going to drive Mallory to school

Zoe kisses them goodbye and Evan takes Mallory outside

BAM

SNOW

Evan instantly panics

Zoe is in the kitchen, on the verge of losing her mind over the screaming child in front of her, and how the baby is making her feel like garbage.

And Mallory is not dressed for the weather

Evan knows that if he needs to find the winter stuff, that Zoe is going to stress

So maybe, he just won't mention it?

But also maybe lying to Zoe would be the worst thing ever

So he decides that maybe he can smuggle Mallory's stuff out the back door and around

As he's turning to go downstairs, Zoe walks over, coat, hat, mitts, snow pants, and boots in hand

She is the opposite of impressed

"There's snow on the ground." She grumbles before turning back to the screaming child.

"I love you so much baby!" He calls, trying to make her feel better

He hears Zoe sigh and she sticks her head out of the doorframe

"I love you. Now take our daughter to school and get to work before both of you are late!" Zoe says

Evan laughs and blows her a kiss before grabbing Mallory's stuff and running out to the car.
