Hey humans! So, I got a request a while ago from Papton12 who asked me to do an If I Could Tell Him oneshot and I figured why not do it today! Enjoy!

Tonight would be a night to remember for everyone, and all but Connor knew why. Everyone, including Heidi and the Murphy's, were getting together at Connor and Evan's apartment for a game night, but they had a secret plan.

They had been planning this out for weeks, picking out the right ring, rehearsing and writing music with Zoe, even practicing when to slip in the magic question for a certain game they would be playing.

Now, all the eight of them were in the middle of a round of Never Have I Ever when Alana asked what they dubbed the 'magic question'.

"Okay," Alana started, trying to stop laughing, "never have I ever sang a love song to my partner?" Evan, Larry, and Zoe took a shot.

"Hold up, when have you ever sang me a love song, babe?" Connor asked.

Evan smiled and shot a look at Zoe, who understood immediately. She went behind the couch and grabbed her guitar and Evan grabbed his small microphone. The group began laughing and cheering, except for Connor, who was blushing furiously.

Zoe began strumming away on her guitar as Evan waited for his cue. He gazed into Connor's eyes and smiled gently.

"Connor, there's nothing like your smile, sort of subtle and perfect, and real, you'll never know how wonderful that smile can make someone feel. And I know, whenever you get bored you scribble swirls on your hoodie sleeves."

Connor hid his face in his hands, embarrassed of all the things he was pointing out. He didn't know what to make of these sweet words his lover was saying.

"And I noticed, that you still fill out the quizzes in those stupid magazines. But I've kept it all, inside my head, what I saw, I left unsaid." He smiled at his boyfriend, watching Connor give him heart eyes.

"If I could tell you, tell you everything I see. If I could tell you, how you're everything to me. But we're a million worlds apart and, I don't know how I would even start. If I could tell you, if I could tell you."

Connor felt tears well up in his eyes, but we didn't let himself cry. He looked behind him at his family and friends, who motioned for Connor to watch, and he looked at Zoe, strumming away on her guitar.

"And, you know what, I thought, you look really pretty, er- you look pretty cool when you put up your hair in buns. And I wonder how you learned to dance like all the rest of the world isn't there. But I've kept it all inside my head, what I saw, I left unsaid. If I could tell you, tell you everything I see, If I could tell you, how you're everything to me."

Connor couldn't help it anymore. He burst out into tears, just full-on ugly crying. Cynthia rubbed his back, fully aware of what would happen next.

"But we're a million worlds apart, and, I don't know how I would even start. If I could tell you. If I could tell you, but what do you do when there's this great divide? And what do you do when the distance is too wide? And how do I say I love you? I love you, I love you, I love you! But we're a million worlds apart, and, I don't know how I would even start. If I could tell you, If I could~"

Evan set the microphone down and Zoe set her guitar down. He grabbed Connor's hands and helped him stand up. He tried the tears off Connor's face.

"That was beautiful, baby."

Evan smiled. "Connor, I love you, so fucking much. Zoe helped me write that, and every lyric was true, you are everything to me. I could never imagine a life without you, and I don't want to ever have to live like that. You are the thing that keeps me going, the reason I smile when I wake up in the morning, and I never want that to end. So, I want to ask you something,"

As Evan got down on one knee and pulled out a velvet ring box, the six of them started squealing and cheering, while Connor covered his mouth as he let out a sob.

"Connor Murphy, will you make me the happiest and luckiest man in the world, and marry me?" He opened the container and revealed a stunning silver ring.

Connor wiped his nose with his sleeve, not caring he was getting snot everywhere.

"Yeah," he nodded, "of course I'll marry you!"

Cheers erupted as Evan slid the ring onto his finger. Connor leaped on him and quickly planted his lips onto his.

"Wait," he pulled away, needing to breathe, "did all of you know about this?"

"Yes!" They all screamed in unison.

"Holy fuck, I love you, Evan." He turned to face his lover once more.

"I love you too, Connie."

"This is the best day of my life!" Connor wrapped his arms around Evan, squeezing him tight.

He couldn't believe what had just happened, he couldn't wrap his head around it. The thing that Connor had been waiting for all his life to happen had finally happened, he could not be any happier.

Hey humans! I hoped you all enjoyed this oneshot! Stay safe, take care of yourself and I love you all so much!!
