Hey humans!! So, I did a lot of research on the type of cancer Connor has and the procedure that will be happening, but if something is wrong, please let me know so I can change it!
Also, I'm sorry for how long this is

Trigger Warnings: Cancer, pretty much the same as the last one

"It'll be alright, baby, everything will be alright."

Connor tightened his grip on Evan, getting snot and tears all over his shirt, but Evan didn't seem to care.

"Connor, what else did he say when he called you?"

He pulled away and wiped his eyes. "He said that they were lucky to find it early and that it's curable. He wants to meet with us tomorrow morning to discuss treatments and stuff like that."

"Alright, I'll take off so we can go together, I don't want you to go alone. Now, baby, we have some things to consider, one of them being if you want to tell anyone, like Zoe or your parents."

Connor paused, thinking about this for a few minutes. If something were to happen, he would want them to know why he was gone, but he also knew that since this was curable, he didn't want to scare them.

"Yes, I want to tell them. If I didn't make it, I would want them to know the reason I died."

"Connor, please, stop saying that, I'm begging you. You aren't going to die, you can and you will beat this. We'll get through this together."

Evan looked at the clock placed on the nightstand. Seeing that it was almost six o'clock, the time he usually started dinner, he was going to start something to eat.

"Do you want anything for dinner?"

Connor shook his head, "Can we just lay down in bed? I'm tired."

"Of course, baby."

He lifted back the covers as Connor crawled underneath them, followed by Evan. He wrapped his arm around him and allowed Connor to snuggle under it.

Connor squeezed his eyes tight, trying not to let any more tears escape. He inhaled the sweet scent of Evan's coconut shampoo, feeling himself drift to sleep.

The next morning, Evan made Connor take it easy until they had to leave for their appointment. He wouldn't let him drive, so Connor was confined to the passenger seat, where he had a death grip on Evan's other hand.

They walked into the waiting room for the second time that week, the same pit of anxiety resting in his stomach. As soon as they sat down, Connor was sent into another fit of coughs, earning stares from the others in the room.

"Connor Murphy?" A nurse called, not long after they arrived.

The two followed her to a room where she did his height and weight and all the other normal checkups. After taking his blood pressure, she offered them a smile as she informed them the doctor would be with them shortly.

While she shut the door on her way out, Evan took ahold of his lover's hand as Connor began to cry. He assured the taller male that he would be okay, to which he earned a nod. As footsteps came from the other side of the wall, Connor quickly wiped the tears from his eyes.

"Hello, you two," the door opened, revealing a man whose coat read 'Dr. Jason McConnell,' "how are you doing today, Connor?"

"Tired, still trying to process it all." He shook Jason's hand.

"Well, that's understandable for the situation you are in. Now, getting to why you are heere today. You have something called non-small cell lung cancer, which explains the cough, chest pain, headaches, and all the other pain you've experienced. We were lucky to have found this early, since there are treatments we can do, including chemotherapy, radiation therapy, a few clinical trials, and surgery."
