Happy first day of pride month everyone!!! I know I'm not supposed to update today, but I wanted to write a onehshot for each of my books to welcome pride month! Now, this month, I'm gonna try and do as many pride-related oneshots as I can, they may all be pride-related, maybe only a few, but I'll do as many as I can! Also yes, I am aware that Love, Simon came out in March of 2018, but let's just pretend that it came out in June, okay?

Warning!! Contains Love, Simon/Simon vs the homosapiens agenda spoilers!

The sounds of the hustle and bustle of the small New York City movie theatre filled the air around them, making the couple aware of just how crowded it was. Evan, Connor, and Heidi were the first to arrive that afternoon, so the three stood to the side by the concession stand while they waited for the rest of their group.

Everyone had decided to meet up that afternoon to see the new film "Love, Simon," something they thought to be an acceptable way to start pride month. The group also agreed to wear any and all pride merchandise they had, which was a lot.

First was Connor, who placed bisexual pride pins and buttons on his messenger bag and his Jean jacket, and wore a 'Love is Love' short-sleeved shirt underneath. Then, there were the Hansens. Evan had chosen a simple black T-shirt with the bisexual flag on it and the same flag colors on the wristbands he was wearing, while Heidi was wearing an ally pin and a 'Free Mom Hugs' shirt.

After waiting for about ten minutes, Jared came flying through the door, dressed head to toe in pansexual pride merchandise, which included a flag sweater, since he was always cold, rainbow makeup, and rainbow short shorts, but what else would you expect from Jared Kleinman?

"What the hell are you wearing? It looks like a Claire's store threw up on you,"

"Con!" Evan laughed, smacking his lover on his forearm, "Be nice, we did agree to dress up,"

"Yeah, bitch, just because I'm prettier than you does not mean you can be fucking bitter to me about it. Oh! Hi, Ms. Hansen," Jared snorted, flipping the taller male off before moving to hug Heidi.

"Hi, Jared, sweetie, happy pride. And I told you, call me Heidi,"

The four fell into a friendly conversation for just the next few minutes, until all their heads turned as the rest of their party walked through the cinema doors. Zoe's hand was laced with Alana's, while Larry and Cynthia walked side by side, also wearing shirts that read 'Free Mom Hugs' and 'Free Dad Hugs,' which Larry had only agreed to because of Cynthia's nagging, but deep down, he was proud to walk into the building with that shirt on.

Zoe, much like her brother, had a jean jacket on, but this one had a pansexual flag painted on the back of it, with rainbow converse high-tops laced up on her feet, and a 'girls love girls and boys' shirt underneath. Alana on the other hand had one side of her face done in makeup representing the lesbian flag, and the left side dolled up in makeup with the asexual flag colors, as well as a rainbow sweater.

"Hey, guys!" Alana cheered, waving with her free hand.

"Hey, 'Lana, Zo. Mom, you actually got dad to wear that shirt out of the house?"

Cynthia laughed, wrapping her arms around her son and giving him a soft squeeze. "I wouldn't let him leave the house without it. Now, is everyone ready? Should we get in line for snacks?" She asked, earning nods of agreement in response.

After everyone had paid for their movie treats, they all walked into the theatre and found their seats, each of the couples sitting together, Jared in the middle of the two, and the parents sitting together on the other side of Alana and Zoe.

The room was packed. There were girlfriends, boyfriends, polyamorus couples, non-binary partners, two moms, and two dads with their kids, kids with flags wrapped around their shoulders and bracelets running up their arms. Anyone you could imagine was there.

The lights dimmed slightly as the ads and trailers started to play, but once the lights started to go down all the way and there was just a minute left till the movie began, Jared stood up, cupped his hands over his mouth, and began to shout.

"Hey! Most of us here are queer as fuck, right?" The audience shouted in agreement as their response, causing Jared to laugh as he sat back down.

As the screen lit up and the movie started, the entire crowd erupted in cheers and applause, even some whistles could be heard as the narration started. As it played, different reactions could be heard. During the scene where Martin first approached Simon about screenshotting his emails, everyone began to boo, but when 'Blue' sent his first email, there was not one person who didn't shout in delight.

The first most emotional part was when Martian Addison outed Simon on Creeksecrets. People were screaming and bawling. A small sob was heard from their friend group, and everyone turned their heads to see Alana and Evan starting to cry, their lovers immediately beginning to comfort them.

Next, and what seemed to be the scene with the most response, was the kiss on top of the Ferris wheel scene. As soon as Bram climbed into the seat, everyone lost it, and when the two locked their lips, nobody was quiet. There were cheers, standing ovations, and not one dry eye could be found. Evan was sobbing, Connor and Zoe were, Jared was, Alana could be found sobbing into her girlfriend's shoulder, and even Larry, Cynthia, and Heidi were having a hard time keeping it together.

As the lights went back up, Connor could see his father smiling proudly and wiping his eyes before he could let a tear slip. Reluctantly, he left Evan's side and made his wash over to Larry. "Dad, you okay?"

Before he knew it, Larry's arms were wrapped around him and squeezing him as tight as he could, which Connor returned, laughing quietly as he did so.

"I love you, Connor, I hope you know that," he cleared his throat, pulling out of the embrace.

"I love you too, dad."

"Guys!" Alana shouted, earning everyone's attention, "there's another showing in twenty minutes, are we up for a second watching?"

"Fuck yeah!" Jared cheered.

"I'm down for that," Evan giggled, "how about you guys? Mom? Mr. and Mrs. Murphy?"

"Sure, sweetie," Heidi laced her hand with her son's, "I'd love that."

While the three parents hugged each of their children and their children's friends, following along with their 'free hugs' shirts, they walked back out of the theatre and into the lobby, where they gathered to buy tickets for the next showing of Love, Simon.

It was all any of them could ask for to start off the month.
