Hey humans! So, no prompt generator today, but you're getting some fluff! Italics represent notes that Evan leaves

The day was May nineteen, and Connor could not be happier, for that marked him and Evan's one-year anniversary. That morning, he was sure to go all out for his lover; getting him flowers, slipping him some chocolates at lunch, and even getting him an engraved promise ring, since they were too young to get engaged.

Now, Connor did all of this out of the sheer love for his boyfriend, and he didn't expect anything else in return, though he thought it might be nice to get a little something.

That afternoon, after school had ended, Connor had driven to Evan's house, knowing that his mother was at work and he would be alone for the night, and he was well aware that Evan was never particularly fond of spending the night by himself.

"Ev? Where are you?" He called out, dropping his messenger bag at the door and listening to the echo of his voice.

He glanced around the living room and could see no one, so, he moved into the kitchen, and locked his eyes on a yellow sticky note stuck to the refrigerator door. Moving closer, he pulled the paper off the stainless steel door and glanced over what was written.

1/5: I'm so proud of you for eating today, Connor, please keep going! (Hint: the next one is in the bathroom)

Connor couldn't help but smile at the handwritten note, his heart fluttered inside his chest. He followed the instructions and made his way two doors down to the bathroom, where he spotted another post-it on the mirror. Glaring at his reflection for a moment before peeking at the next note, he saw the pure joy in his face, something he had only started seeing again in the last year.

2/5: Baby, you look so handsome today, I love your hair after you blow dry it. (Looks in the living room for the next one)

Snatching the second small piece of paper, he traced his steps back into the living room, where he found another sticky placed on the television remote, which laid on the top of the fireplace mantel.

3/5: Since it's our anniversary, I'm caving in and letting you pick the movie tonight, just no cheesy hallmark movies! (P.S. there's a little something on the table for you <3)

Connor let out a small snort as he laughed at Evan's handwritten message. Connor was never allowed to pick their movies for date night since he almost always picked some cheesy, predictable Hallmark channel film.

Following the set of directions left for him, he made his way into the Hansen's dining room and set his eyes on a neatly wrapped package in the center of the table. Although, on top of the brightly colored paper, another note was stuck on.

4/5: You're such an amazing artist, baby, I really hope you can draw me something! (Next, head upstairs to my room)

The moment he read the first part, he knew exactly what was hidden in this paper. As he quickly tore off the wrapping, he came in contact with a black box, and he knew he was right. Evan had gifted him a hundred-piece art set that came with colored pencils, drawing pencils, oil pastels, charcoals, and paint pens, and Connor knew how expensive this set was.

Taking his present and stack of notes, he traveled up the stairs and stood outside Evan's bedroom, reading the next and last sticky note, which was placed on his bedroom door.

5/5: I love you, my angel

Feeling teardrops well up in his beautiful heterochromic eyes, he put his hand on the knob and turned it, swinging the door open with full force. As he did, Connor revealed Evan sitting on his bed with a bouquet of rainbow roses in his hand.

"Hey, Connor, happy anniversary,"

Connor set the little slips of paper and his new art kit on the floor next to Evan's bed and took the flowers from his hands, hugging Evan as tightly as he could, salty tears slowly dripping down and splashing onto the fabric of Evan's t-shirt.

"Thank you, Ev. No one has ever done anything like this for me before."

"Of course, Connor, I'd do anything for you. I love you, so much, baby,"

"I love you more, more than you could ever know."

Hey! This was something I thought of the other day and went along with it, so, I hope you enjoyed!! Maybe the next oneshot will be fluff, maybe it won't be, we don't know. Love you all!!
