The Ring

Takes place after the first Halloween oneshot

On the outside, Connor looked dark and tough, but he was quite the opposite on the inside. And while he wasn't afraid of much, there were two things that terrified him to his very soul; the dark, and The Ring.

Okay, he wasn't really scared of the dark, it made him more anxious than scared, but The Ring, even mentioning it gave him chills.

So, Evan hatched a plan. To get payback at Connor for accidentally scaring him, he decided to dress up like the girl from The Ring and scare him.

He took a run to their local party store and grabbed a white nightgown and a wig and used a YouTube tutorial to get his nightgown to look like it was covered in dirt. Now, all he had to do was wait for Connor to come over, and he didn't have to wait long.

"Evan," Connor called, placing his spare key in his pocket, "I'm here!" Instead of being welcomed in a hug, he was met with silence.

"Evan? Hello?"

The lights flickered before shutting off completely, leaving only a dim light in the hallway. Connor could feel his heart start to pound out of his chest. Before he could say anything, a crash came from down the hall.

"Ev?"

Merely seconds later, Evan came sprinting down the hall in his costume, listening as Connor screeched like a child.

"OhmygodConnorI'msosor-"

"-Slow down. That was you, Evan?" Evan nodded.

"It was supposed to be payback for when you scared me last week by accident. I'm sorry."

He laughed. "Babe, I'm not mad at you for scaring me, just, if you could take that off, it's really freaking me out." He tore off the wig and dress, leaving him in his usual blue polo.

"You know, if you weren't such an adorable dork, I'd be mad at you for doing that, but that's impossible because you're so damn cute."
