"Connor, I don't want to go!" Evan whined, crossing his arms and making a pouty face.

"I know, babe, I don't want you to go either, but I'll survive on my own for a week. I don't want you to lose your job because you didn't go on this trip."

"Are you sure you'll be okay?"

"Yes, I'll be fine," He lied, "get in the car and I'll grab your suitcase."

The wheels of Evan's cargo squeaked across the hardwood floor. He loaded it into the back of his car and pulled out of the driveway.

The drive was silent minus the soft sound of Christmas carols coming from the radio. Thirty minutes later, the two had to go their separate ways.

Evan waved goodbye as he walked to his gate, Connor felt his chest tighten. He wanted to be back in Evan's arms, cuddling on the couch, half asleep, watching sappy Hallmark Christmas movies.

The snow crunched underneath his boots as he walked through the parking lot, tiny snowflakes dusting his hair. This would be a long week.

~A week later cuz again I'm really lazy and don't have the time or energy to write something here~

The sound of keys jingling came from the other side of the door. The figure wiped the wet slush and new fallen snow off his boots and placed his keys down.

"Con, I'm home!"

The sound of running came from the bedroom down the hall. Connor came into Evan's view, and the two met in and embraced that warmed them to the bone, despite it being twenty-five degrees outside.

Evan stripped off his boots, gloves, jacket and scarf, leaving him in only a sweater and jeans.

"I missed you, Connie." Before he had a chance to respond, a whine came from their bedroom. "Umm, what was that?"

"Nothi-" a bark cut him off.

Just then, a small white and brown dog trotted out from behind the wall. She stopped and sat in front of Evan, barking once more.

"Connor, why the fuck is there a dog in here?"

Connor smiled, trying to hide his embarrassment, "I told you I would be lonely."

"So you adopted a dog?"

"Mhm."

"When?"

"Thursday morning."

"I left Wednesday night!"

He sighed, deciding wether he should be mad or be awestruck by the puppy at his feet. He picked her up.

"Hi baby, what's your name?"

"Alice," he said, moving to Evan's side, "she's a King Charles Spaniel."

Evan walked past Connor and sat on the couch, not putting down Alice. Connor waved his hand in front of Evan's face.

"Umm, hello? Loving fiancé you have seen in a week?"

He grabbed Connor's hand and pulled him down so he was beside him. The two covered themselves in a blanket and cuddled close together, Alice between them. Connor ran his hand through the dogs feather-like fur.

"I missed this."

Evan planted a delicate kiss on Connor's forehead and snuggled closer to him. Alices' fur felt like heaven on Evan's frozen hands.

"Wanna put on one of those cheesy Hallmark movies you like?"

"They aren't cheesy!" Connor argued.

Grabbing the remote, Evan flipped through the dvr and turned one of them on, hoping to get rid of them soon. You see, he preferred the classics; the best ones, such as Elf, National Lampoons Christmas Vacation, and the animated classic Frosty The Snowman.

"I love you, Evy."

"I love you too, babe."

Alice barked, asking Evan where her 'I love you' was.

"Yes yes, I love you too, Alice."

While it might have been a blizzard outside, inside, with the two curled up together with the fire blazing, they were as warm as could be.

After moments of silence, except for the dialogue that came from the movie, Evan spoke up once more.

"I still can't believe you adopted a fucking dog."

Hi my beauties! Hope you're all doing okay and have had a better week. On another note, totally siding with Evan, Elf, Christmas Vacation and Frosty are the best Christmas movies ever. Just wanted to say next week I'll be posting a oneshot every day, and you'll get two on Monday! Have a good weekend you beautiful humans!!
