Anger took over the sorrow Y/N was feeling not long after Peggy left. She got up and went out of the room she had been in to notice members of Steve's team and Howard waiting in the hall. They all had sad looks on their faces, even more sorrowful ones when they looked at her.

"I-I..." Y/N cleared her throat. "I need to shoot something," she stated plainly.

"Okay," the man named Gabe nodded. The men all looked at each other, nodding in approval. "We'll take you somewhere."

"You don't need to. Just tell me-"

"We promised Agent Carter that we'd watch you," Dum-Dum spoke up. "And we're not about to break another promise."

The men guided her to a shooting range, with Howard silently following. They got every type of gun and target ready for her. They understood her pain and that she needed to take it out on something, rather than someone. They all watched, with careful eyes, as Y/N hit every target almost perfectly. They had heard from their Captain and the Sergeant that Y/N had passed every test perfectly, now they could see why.

"We needed you out there, Agent Rogers," one of the men chuckled. "You've got a better aim than any of us."

"I've seen her beat out a whole division of soldiers," Howard stated. "It was very entertaining to watch all those men get beaten by a dame."

"Thanks," she muttered, grabbing another gun. As she aimed, she heard heavy footsteps entering the target range.

"Captain," she heard one of the men greet. Her hands began to shake slightly, most of the men took notice.

"I need a moment with my sister," Steve's voice rang out behind her.

A chorus of "Yes, sir's" were heard, followed by feet leaving. Y/N held out the gun, hands trembling, and tried to aim for the center of a target. She missed, the whole target.

"Y/N, I'm-" Steve started.

"Don't!" Y/N said harshly. "I don't want to hear it!" She spun around, aiming the shaky gun at her brother. "You promised..." She cried. "You promised that you'd bring him back to me."

"I'm so sorry," Steve held his hands up in surrender as he took a few steps towards her. Tears formed in his eyes as he watched his sister's shaky hands and crying eyes. He felt like he had failed Bucky. But he knew he had failed Y/N, his own sister. "Y/N, please, put the gun down."

"Is that an order, Captain?"

"I'm not your Captain." He shook his head. "Not now. Right now, I'm your brother. Who cares about you and who lost his best friend too. All I want to do is give you a hug." Y/N still held the gun up to him. "I'm so sorry, Y/N."

"I loved him!" Y/N cried, her hands and arms grew shakier. "I loved him, Stevie!"

"I know, I know." Steve slowly came closer. "He loved you too. I know it." He carefully reached out, grabbing the gun. "Just let go of the gun. I've got it." Y/N's hands let the gun go. Steve quickly put the gun down on the closest table before pulling his sister into him. She broke down in sobs, causing Steve's tears to get worse as well. "I've got you... I've got you... I'm so sorry... It's all my fault..."

They cried together, in each others arms, for a long while in the shooting range. When their cries had died down, Steve decided to speak up.

"I'm going after HYDRA," he whispered. "And I'm not gonna stop till they're all dead or captured."

"I'm coming with you." Y/N looked up at Steve.

"No. I'm not going to-"

"You don't have a choice, Steve." Y/N pushed away from Steve. "I'm going with you."

"I can't lose you too."

"You don't think I feel the same way?" Y/N yelled. "I can't lose you either! I couldn't live anymore! I'm coming with you, I don't care what you have to say."
