Lunch Without Friends

Mukuros pov

I walked down the hallway feeling a huge weight on my shoulders. I couldn't stop thinking about the looks they gave me. I never really cared before cause I had junko but now that I'm alone it's alot harder. I don't want to hated anymore!

I stepped into the dining hall and took my usual seat with mokoto. Shuichi immediately stood up and walked away with tears in his eyes.

"sidekick hold up" kaito and maki chased after him.

"sorry mukuro but I better check up on him" mokoto patted my shoulder before running after shuichi, leaving me all alone.

I sighed as I planted my face into the table. I just want to disappear-

"hey do you mind if I take a seat?" I looked up to see kokichi grinning at me.

"knock yourself out kid" I muttered.

He happily took a seat opposite me. We sat in silence until..

"it's tough isn't it? Being hated by everyone"

I looked up at him in surprise before sighing "yeah it is. I have no idea how to make them trust me again"

"Well you can stop throwing yourself a pity party for one" I was surprised by his sudden harsh tone but continued to listen "people like you and me are hated for a reason mukuro. We bring it on ourselves. We might have our reasons for doing what we do but it doesn't take away the hurt we caused others. You can't just expect everyone to forgive you instantly. You have to work towards that"

I listened intently. Everything he said made perfect sense. I had such kindness from everyone that I didn't even think about trying to earn it.

"you know kokichi your a very bright young man" I smiled at him.

"it's nothing. It's just something I picked up from personal experience. Now if you'll excuse me I have a date with my beautiful boyfriend" with that he walked away.

As he was walking away I yelled "I'm going to apologise to shuichi whenever I get the chance!"

"sounds good" he gave me a thumbs up before skipping over to chihiro.

I took a deep breath. Ok mukuro its time to earn everyone's trust!
