40: I don't think I want to understand

February 9th - Prompt: First kiss

"I'm sure when I'm older I'll understand..."

"I'm older and I don't think I want to understand."

Susan swallowed hard as she pulled away from Caspian, immediately burying her face against his shoulder.

Her heart was pounding if she was honest, coming back to Narnia for a second time she was definitely not expecting to experience her first kiss.

What hurt the most though was she had to leave now, she had just kissed Caspian, and now had to leave him forever, she'd never see him again.

With a sigh she slowly pulled away, forcing back tears and gave him a small, goodbye smile, before walking slowly back to her siblings.

Lucy smiled at her and grabbed her hand, Susan smiling reassuringly back and squeezing her hand.

She gave Caspian one last look, noting the devastation in his eyes, before turning and heading towards the door in the air.
