The explosion was fast. A huge rock hit your boyfriend, Pavel's leg. He cried out in pain, the sound broke your heart. Another rock fell on your arm. A piercing pain shot up your arm and shoulder, also making you cry out. There was another sharp pain and you were out.

Slowly and painfully, you woke up. There was a warm, moving object next to you. It took a moment to realize it was Pavel, and the air was FREEZING cold. Shivering, you snuggled closer to Pavel, wincing when you bumped into your arm.

From what you could remember, you were on an away mission for the Enterprise. You and Pavel were sent to explore this cave. It was shallow and small, but unstable. There was a rock slide, know one else on the Enterprise knew about it yet, that you knew of.

"Pavel." You try to say, but it comes out as more of a hoarse whisper. "Pavel." You try to say louder.

"Y/N, your awake." He said, his voice also hoarse. You could feel him move closer to you, and his gasps of pain. It was pitch black in the cave. "Are you hurt?"

"My arm and my head." You answer. He moved his hand to your face, and moves your hair from your eyes. You winced when he got to the sore spot.

"Sorry. Your head isn't so bad. Probably a small concussion. I'm going to feel your arm, okay?" He said, moving his hands down your shoulders to your arms. "Which one?"

"Left," you answer, wincing and crying out when he touched it.

"It's probably...broken." He said coughing in between. "You felt warm before, despite this cold. You might have a fever."

"Okay. What about you, are you hurt?" You ask him, touching his face. The two of you were laying down beside each other, trying to keep warm.

"My leg, I'm pretty sure it's broken." He mumbled, slowly fading out.

"Pavel! Stay awake." You order. He mumbled something you hope was 'yes.' He felt warm too, although you were freezing.

"Y/N," he started. "I love you. I just want you to know that incase I die." He finished, coughing every once in a while.

"We aren't going to die. I love you too." You say moving close to his face. He leaned in and kissed you. For a first kiss, it was a weird time, but very romantic. It was your first kiss, ever.

"OW!" You yell, bumping into him. You hit your arm pretty hard.

"Ow!" He muttered, when you bumped into his leg. The two of you started laughing, wincing here and there. Eventually, you and him became exhausted and fell asleep. You had I lay, very close in order to stay even remotely warm.

Your eyes hurt. You opened them and regretted it. The light was so bright.

"Awe." You mumbled, rubbing your eyes with your good hand.

"Oh no." You heard someone say. Doctor McCoy you realized.

"What happened?" Another voice said.

"Jim calm down, let them wake up and get to sickbay before you question them." McCoy said. You opened your eye and saw them standing on the transporter pad next to you and Pavel. A couple nurses came in with two stretchers.

It's been three weeks sense the cave incident. Your arm was now almost fully healed, as well as Pavel's leg. You were meeting him tonight in his quarters for a date.

When you walked in, he was sitting in a chair, his leg propped up.

"Sorry I'm not very dressed up." He apologized.

"It's fine. I'm not really either." You say. The two of you talked before you kissed again. It was a longer, better kiss than the one in the cave. Although, if it weren't of the cave, the two of you wouldn't have had your first kiss. Maybe being stuck in a cave wasn't such a bad thing.

Author note:

This wasn't a request, but I'll be writing those next. I had started writing this when I asked for requests, so.. You see my point. Those should be up soon.
