"Happy Birthday." You heard someone say. It woke you up from a nice deep sleep, so now you were a bit crabby.
"Why must you wake me early." You say, glancing at the clock. It was two hours earlier than when you aid to get up.
"Because, I want to spend a couple hours with you for your birthday. I work really late tonight." Hikaru Sulu said as he sat on the bed by you. "C'mon, wake up. We can have cake for breakfast."
"You have my attention," You say, opening one of your eyes.
"Good, now get up." Hikaru said, grabbing your shoulder and shaking you.
"What kind of cake is it?" You ask, opening both eyes.
"Red Velvet, your favorite." He said with a huge goofy grin.
"Okay fine. I guess it's worth it." You say, getting up. You walked into the bathroom and brushed your teeth and went to the bathroom. When you came out, Hikaru had put candles in the cake. Two candles with the numbers of your age.
The cake was the best red velvet cake you'd had in a long time. The frosting was creamy and delicious. The cake itself was moist and soft.
"Thank you for the cake before breakfast, but I should probably have cereal or something." You say, after finishing a second slice of cake. You were full, but cake wasn't a good breakfast.
"No problem. I'm glad you loved it." Hikaru said, giving you a quick kiss. "I also had to be at work early, I'm already late. See you. Happy Birthday!"
"Thanks. Love you."
"Love you!"
