"Okay." You heard a voice say, that made you jump. You turned around, dropping the pan you were holding. Your boyfriend, Leonard, had beamed into your apartment.
"Leonard! What are you doing! You scared me to death!" You yell at him.
"Sorry, I meant to beam outside, but they got the landing position wrong." He explained, blushing.
"Alright then." You say, picking up the pan and setting it on the counter. There was a small dent in it now, but you could just get a new one. "What are you doing back on Earth anyway?"
"The Enterprise needed repairs. It killed Jim that we couldn't fix it ourselves. He was embarrassed that he had to come crawling back to Earth. They were testing the transporter. I have them your address. It malfunctioned, but it was pretty close." Leonard explained, sitting down at the table. You sat next to him. He had gotten a couple more scars sense you saw him last.
"How was the mission?" You ask, kissing him on the cheek.
"Long, boring, I wish you were there." He answered, kissing you back.
"Maybe I am." You reply.
"What?" He asked, turning to face you. His face confused.
"Star fleet said that next time the Enterprise returns, I can get a nurse job. The Enterprise is back, I get to work with you!" You reply. He suddenly hugged you and started laughing.
"I get to work with you, my girlfriend. This is amazing! Why didn't you tell me right away?"
"I wanted it to be a surprise! You surprised!" You ask.
"Yes I'm surprised! I love you and I'm glad I get to work with you." He replied, kissing your lips.
