I mainly stuck by Nightmare as we explored the sunken ship. There wasn't really much to see in my opinion but Nightmare looked interested with the new setting so I kept my mouth shut. I didn't want to ruin his good time.
But that doesn't change the fact that I absolutely despise ever agreeing to this. The longer we were in this giant body of water to more I was expecting some creature from the depth of hell to grace us with its presence. Plus this whole setting made me feel icky.
It wasn't paranoia, I just really didn't like it here.
"Ugh I feel sick," I muttered to myself quietly. I glanced over to Nightmare seeing that he didn't hear my comment. I cleared my throat to gain his attention.
"I'm going to check on the other two, make sure they didn't mess with something."
"Ok. Do you want me to-" He was going to offer to come along but I shook my head.
"No, you can keep looking around and exploring as you wish. I'm just going to check on them and then I'll come back." I didn't wait for a response before I swam out of there. I was getting used to my altered body and moving in a more effective manner which definitely was a plus. I slipped out a decently sized opening and moved along the edge of the ship.
Now that I was out I actually had no idea were the two star Sanses went. I swam up to the top of the ship and saw no one were the deck was. I went higher and didn't see them I the tattered sails and old broken beams. I went back down to a different opening and didn't spot them there.
"They couldn't have gone far... then again it's Ink so..." I headed back out and swam out into the open. I hated every second of it but I would find them better this way instead of swimming near the floor. I swam a large circle around the ship going further and further each go around. I didn't want to lose sight of the ship and get lost.
Around my third circle I started to notice the variety of fish nearby. There really were a lot and my lack of knowledge was showing. At my fourth circle I felt something brushing up against me. At first I ignored it thinking it was seaweed, until I wasn't swimming by seaweed. I stopped and looked back noticing fish swimming by my tail. When I stopped some scattered and other swam further up to my upper body.
"Well... hello." I half-heartedly gave the smaller creatures a greeting. Upon closer look I did actually know which fish they were. These were batfish, very curious types. I just decided to keep swimming since the fish weren't really bothering me.
I soon spotted Ink, he was peering over an edge. As I got closer I realized that edge was a ravine.
"Ink, what are you doing?" I asked and he looked over.
"Oh Error take a look." He said pointing down. I hesitated to get closer bit I did looking over the edge. I saw a golden dot that seemed to be moving around.
"Ok, what am I looking at?"
"It's Dream, we figured out he can really glow far down." I got tense hearing that Dream was down there alone.
"Uh huh, I'm not ok with that. Call him back up." I said like an order.
"What why?"
"Ink, we don't know what's down there and you're fine just letting him go off on his own?" I inquired.
"We go off on our own all the time, what makes this different?" He questioned and I shook my head.
"You really need to look up information about the ocean when you get the chance."
"It's not like it's the same ocean you're probably thinking of." Ink stated trying to brush off my concerns.
"That makes it so much worse," I said thinking of the various possibilities.
