Author's note: I don't normally do this but it's time you guys learned something about me. My birthday is April 26th and here's another chapter as a gift from me to you. (It was coming anyways but whatever.)

The day has finally arrived. I've lost my patience towards my own kid. I don't know if I should be impressed by his stubbornness or flat out annoyed that he pushed for this result to be possible. Regardless, it was happening. This kid was testing my patience.

I was running out of it. I liked to consider myself reasonably patience considering the group I lived with. But it seems I've hit a limit.

Nightmare was standing by me, watching the scene in front of us playing out. His hands were in his pockets while my arms were crossed. Ink and Dream weren't present so the kid took this as the perfect chance to act. I wasn't going to bother contacting them either. Gradient knew that fact as well and was taking advantage of it.

Gradient was trying, I can say that much.

I stood still as Nightmare's tendril suddenly shot out, catching Horror's body that went flying to us. My gaze shifted to the thrown skeleton once he was put down.

"Are you ok, Horror?" Nightmare asked.

"Yeah... the kid's not holding back this time," Horror said as his rubbed the side of his neck. I was unsure if he was sore or upset about being sent over here.

"Tch, figures." I let out a slow sigh, tired or disappointed.

"If you want-" Nightmare started but I cut him off.

"Don't. He started this mess, I'm not letting him get an easy out. Just stand by. Let him learn." I returned my gaze to the scene in front of me. It was a full on fight going on.

Dust, Cross, and Scoundrel were currently fighting with Gradient and Killer. Horror was fighting along with Dust, Cross, and Scoundrel but now was here.

"To think Killer would take the kid's side..." Horror said with a huff.

"It was predictable. He's prideful. His attitude may be carefree but he doesn't want to be see as inherently weak when push comes to shove." I heard from Nightmare. His tone made it hard to tell what he was really thinking.

The others were a bit hesitant against Gradient, not Killer, but when this whole thing started I made the decision to allow it. He wanted this, he would have to be the one to deal with it. I wasn't going to help him.

Cross was currently backing off Killer from defending Gradient against Dust and Scoundrel. Nightmare kept a grip on Horror, not allowing him back into the fight. I have to give the kid props, he's holding his own. However, Scoundrel was not being serious at all and Dust is being particularly harsh or brutal.

He aims with purpose and he was struggling to hold back, he was used to us and fighting for his life. Even during sparring, unless instructioned otherwise, he tries to make a dent. He was barely using his blasters for his own energy's sake but I can tell his hits hurt. Gradient learned very quick that he wanted to avoid chances.

"They're making quite a mess," I said.

"Fights aren't clean."

"Heh, you don't have to tell me, Nightmare. I know that much already. Still, gonna be a hassle to make this look neat afterwards." I said as if the scene happening in front of us wasn't a big deal to worry about.

"Seems the kid has more tricks than some strength..." Horror said a she observed.

While I used portals or teleported, as I favoritably call shortcuts, Gradient had a glitchy version of that. Glitches and pixels were left behind as he zipped around place to place to avoid getting hit from attacks.
