Chapter 97: A winner, a loser and a lesson II [Adumfor Arc II]

Vlad was running through the forest, but then he hears screams from above only to see Elijah being send in the air by possibly the wind, but strange the wind is not that strong in Adumfor today...

Vlad: I know he was cruel to Elaina, but damn was that X's father who send him like that or...?

Vlad then continues running his original direction as he continues to feel the cursed energy signals to find Elaina through the forest, he feels like he is close, yet once he reaches the area, nobody was there, just destroyed trees, rocks, bushes and ground...

He stands still and tries to sense where did it go, "where is she?" He wonders to himself.

Meanwhile with Elaina, she was down in what looks like a base...

Elaina (Talking to herself): Impressive, whoever builded it...

Elaina sighs and could sense someone else inside the place and she stands on guard.

As she waits she sees a face from the arena challenges walking out of one of the rooms.

Elaina: Oh Kazuna, a fellow challenger.

Kazuna: Oh, was not expecting guests in here, especially since this place is sorta well hidden, hello there.

Kazuna sighs, Elaina does the same.

Kazuna: So how is the situation?

Elaina: Well, it is not too good, a lot of weird looking Eclipse pattern demons walking down the place. However, I don't even know one thing, how did Isabella lose control so quickly?

Kazuna: Oh?

Kazuna got curious after Elaina mentions Isabella and losing control in one sentence.

Elaina: Guessing there is more to this story, I suppose since the Thorns family is no longer the strongest in the demon kind.

Kazuna: To be fair Isabella wasn't always the best choice, but she was a only kid back then apparently. However, George is not in Adumfor anymore, but he is alive.

Elaina: Wait so Royal demons don't die when passing the crown?

Kazuna: ... Obviously...

Kazuna face palms.

Kazuna: They just go out of the country in a demon island for all 4 nations where they spend their retirement days, they come back if thr kingdom's only queen/king are dead or unworthy.

Elaina: Oh... I see, but how do we deal with that enemy?

Kazuna: I don't know, for now maybe try to go rescue some civilians and deal with some of these weaker corrupt demons, knocking them out seems to uncorrupt them or something.

Elaina: Alright, got it.

Elaina then turns around and runs off from the same way she entered, once she was outside she ran off fast into the forest and shortly after bumps into Vlad and both fall to the ground after that and she quickly gets up and walks up to him.

Elaina: Vlad, hey there you are!

Elaina helps him get up.

Vlad: E-Elaina where the hell did you go off?

Elaina: I was in rush down to the castle since I realised that most people there are not evacuated so is the capital city, come on!

Both of them then run off down the road to the capital...

Meanwhile with UltraX, he has arrived at the castle and sees a bunch of these demons that were taken over by Diara trying to break in and then he uses the console with a single command to summon a baseball and a bat and then he throws the ball and hits it with the bat hitting one of the demons catching all of their attention, the corrupt demons growl like wild animals and then all of them run towards X.

Ultra then uses the console to make the bat vanish and then he looked at them for a second, once they reached him closer 4 of them punched him, but it was like they punched a wall and he took no damage, he smirks as then the damage they tried to deal was suddenly dealt to them 2x times on themselves sending all 4 back...

Couple of minutes later, all of them were defeated in a casual fighting scene, despite that fight... He has taken some damage from them, but not enough to render him knocked out of combat.

UltraX: Despite everything, they are not as strong... The Eclipse lady on the other hand has supressed her power though or not.

Ultra sighs and then he closed his eyes... Suddenly his body moved on it's own catching a bullet, he then opens his eyes and looks at his right hand to see Sila's bullet.

He turns around to his surprise to see that Sila has become "ONE OF THEM." He felt rather down a bit to know such a strong woman would be so easy to takeover.

Sila shoots again and again as Ultra dodges and runs towards her and then continues dodging, this move she uses is called Hall of Bullets and is being dodged easily and then he goes under and does an uppercut and catches her with a barrage and then stops the barrage and kicks the gun off her hand and then grabbing her and slamming her on the ground while holding her arm, she screams.

Then he lets go and she quickly makes him slip and then runs towards her gun, but then he suddenly appears infront of her and slaps her in the face and she falls to the ground, he then pulls out the console and types something and suddenly she couldn't get up as he hits her at the back of the neck and knocks her out, removing the control of Diara.

UltraX: Stay here.

He vanishes and as time passes, Diara was already at the capital and she was above watching and sighs as she does her thing and retakes control of Sila and makes her, but knowing she is out, she has to wait, but she is also waiting for someone.

Inside the castle, Daniel was already inside standing up with some of the lower-ranking guards waiting and preparing for the worse.

As the Guards waited with Daniel in charge to attack if someone breaks in...

Daniel: Alright everyone, remember when a corrupt breaks in... We strike and knock em out, if we kill anyone, we will be paying the consequences in the last corridor after death.

But before Daniel could say anything else, he heard bodies falling down to the ground and he turned around to see a... Demon...?

Daniel: H-Hey how did you-?!

Daniel gets punched against the big locked door and then he was pinned against it... As he looked, he looked with terror to see a demon coming out of a demon's body... The woman guard that pushed him is now an empty shell as the demon revealing himself out of her...

Daniel: ...You're...

???: That's right, with my one every 3 hour ability to wear any demon as a skin suit... Hehehe...

Daniel suddenly felt scared, a powerful feeling of fear... He felt the screams of his comrades and their hands crawling behind their back trying to put him with them...

???: Goodnight~
