Chapter 114: The Festival I [The New York Festival Arc]

November 9th 2024, it was the time of the festival and many people were there at this very festival in the place.

The Ivanov family was in the west district, Elijah was in the south district and the Vans family was in the north district while most other interesting characters or just side-characters are in all districts or the east district most of the time.

As the festival was going good, Vlad and the Vans family were eating at a food area as they were waiting for the show.

Elaina: This meat is so good!

Elaina was eating like a animal, despite being a hero for Adumfor and supposed to have manners, when it comes to food, she eats like an animal who has never seen food at all, Vlad on the other hand was eating with manners, but not the same as the Vans parents and that is all they were doing, after finishing they pay and go outside noticing Mina Anderson.

Saniya: Hey, isn't that Mina Anderson?

Elaina: Yeah, wonder why she is here of all people... Did she-?

Vlad: No, I doubt it especially since she is the only one from her family here to knowledge currently and on top of that she seems to have some scarf that is very familiar.

Saniya: You know what, you two go and spy on her, in the meantime we'll get some stuff and wait for you at the center where the show is happening.

Elaina: Yes, mother.

After that Elaina grabbed Vlad's arm and they followed Mina without her awareness, as they watched Mina seemed to just be doing what citizens do, buy stuff, explore and enjoy the festival, yet that scarf ticked Vlad off a little and yet as they continued following her they soon saw her stop next to...

Vlad (Whispering): A-Amelia?!

Both Vlad and Elaina were surprised, but why...

Mina: So, do you think we got the mystery solved?

Amelia: From what I know, ever since I cleared my fake identity off, I still own that company, but that mystery still shines, the Third Order is doing everything in their power to silence me, a character who is now an ex-member of their show.

Wait, these guys...

Elaina (Whispering): S-She was a member of theirs?

Amelia: Worst part about that Elena identity was that it lasted as long as I needed to, but my memory is still a bit blurry for their location yet I can feel it. The theory is that they will strike at a big event and use the fear to drive people into their trap so they can turn them into lab rats like they did with Vlad and Issy's brother.

Mina: Yeah that sucks, especially now that X is well, no need to grace it with description.

Vlad did hear the Third Order before when he was a victim to the Assasisn Organisation's experiments years ago, this name did piss him off and made him want revenge in a sense for ruining his life and killing his own best friend or atleast what he knew had happened.

Amelia: Despite everything, me and Issy were forced for the sake of her brother to join, knowing the leader he may kill him either way and then, well get rid of Issy.

Vlad (Whispering): She was the one I fought and lost the fight back then...

Elaina (Whispering): So, that is her manifestation ay?

Elaina sighs.

Mina: Well, as long as nobody knows about your past besides your own family and I and well the entire anti-hero society, you escaped barely as well if it was not for X.

Amelia: I know, I bet if someone familiar overheard us, they would want a rematch or something cause they lost a fight totally.

Amelia says it smirking which gives Mina the signal that someone is listening.

Mina: Anyway, let us move.

Mina and Amelia continued walking away as Vlad and Elaina followed, Vlad felt a bit triggered by this that she mentions the thing he was thinking as both continue to follow the duo.

Obviously one of the things the two girls said was X and you know which did give Flashback to the grave at the hill somewhere in the USA for a bit before going back to the present and they continued following the duo until they reach a small bar and both girls sit, so do Vlad and Elaina in a spot where they can listen.

Mina: You know it is funny really, the guy who attacked Vidin had a sister you knew about and that sister mysteriousely died. 

Amelia: Yeah sounds like a coincidence and she was not a weak one apparently by his words, remember she was able to fight toe to toe with a pro-hero level from 2016-2017, I forgot myself really about those times.

Mina: So, what do you think else is gonna happen, any surprises?

Amelia: Well, it would be shocking if X was alive and comes back right now by some incident.

As it is, even though Vlad wants to deny it he has to accept it like Lub's death, yet this time he feels something odd...

Amelia: By the way the top hero should be here any minute now for the show, you wanna watch?

Mina: Yeah sure, heard my family is here too...

Amelia: Awesome, heard your sister is cute.

Mina: Huh?

Mina is confused about that, usually it ends up into some romantic kind of thing, but maybe not this time.

Mina: T-Thanks for the compliment about my sister, Amelia...

Vlad and Elaina knew she was referin to Yurika and yet they are a bit surprised that they know each other so well, like the way they talk gives some girl boss energy.

As then the speaker turns on...

Speaker: Attention, the number 1 hero Alena Hanona has arrived and will be waiting for everyone at the center as it is her first apperance in a long time to the public like this!

Mina smirks.

Amelia: Oh my, it is time let us go.

Amelia and Mina pay and get off and walk, Vlad & Elaina do the same and soon follow as everyone or most people reach the center, Vlad & Elaina regroup with the Vans parents family.

Saniya: So, any information?

Elaina: Nope, only the part where Amelia and Mina are so friendly to each other.

Saniya: Alright, now let us enjoy the show and we will confront the Ivanov family after it is over.

As they all watched Alena Hanona takes a step forward and holding the mic, she smirks and chuckles letting everyone here the show is starting.
