Short Bio:

Phantom Freddy isn't a physical animatronic. He is a hallucination of the night guard caused by the ventilation in the attraction. He is a ghostly version of Withered Freddy, he is green with dark eyes and looks like he was burned. The game may be called, "Freddy's" but Phantom Freddy was never actually shown in any promotion, it was as if Freddy wasn't in this game. Of course, he did end up being in it. It is theorized Phantom Freddy is actually Phantom Golden Freddy as he's missing an ear and has wires coming out of his eyes like Withered Golden Freddy.

Technically, you could say Withered Freddy is "Un-Phantom Freddy"

FNAF 3:

Phantom Freddy appears on Night 2. He will randomly appear at your window walking in front of you. He, like the other phantoms, are trick characters. What you think you know about FNAF, you don't. Many players will stare at him and start to wonder and think of ways to stop him. However, he will not actually go inside, he will eventually duck down and then disappear, but if you stare at him as he ducks down, he will jumpscare you, causing you to black out temporarily and cause ventilation problems. He and the other phantoms cannot kill the night guard. This mechanic also works to prevent the player from staring at Springtrap for too long. Springtrap can't kill you if you stare at him, so most times, Phantom Freddy will jumpscare you and then Springtrap right after. Phantom Freddy seems to only have one leg, as he limps when he walks.

Ultimate Custom Night:

Phantom Freddy returns for the ultimate custom night and is listed as the 17th character on the character select screen. In this game, he will slowly fade in in your office and you have to shine your flashlight at him to make him fade away, if you don't, he'll jumpscare you, causing your ventilation to have problems. He doesn't have a real jumpscare, just a white PNG of him appearing. He has two legs this time, instead of one. He is brighter in this game.

FNAF VR: Help Wanted:

Phantom Freddy appears in the FNAF 3 section of this game. This time around however, he looks like classic Freddy, instead of Withered Freddy. This is because they did not have the withered models in the game as they weren't originally in the game. He also appears as a cardboard cutout.
