Short Bio:
Nightmare Freddy, like his name suggests, is a nightmare version of Freddy. He has the appearance of an old mascot who's been destroyed, with sharp teeth and claws, and a monster look. With him, are mini Freddy's who have been nicknamed, "Freddles." He was 3 of them. Nightmare Freddy is very monotone, his only purpose is to kill and so he does, without it even phasing him. His existence has 3 meanings: The first is that he was created by William Afton using a nightmare gas to torment Michael Afton. The second, it's possible Michael still has nightmares about being in his childhood room and being attacked by monsters, which would explain why there's the main 5 plus a distorted phone guy call. And the third, he was also re-created in UCN by the Vengeful Spirit to torment William Afton. He was revealed in the first teaser for FNAF 4, where he had no pupils and he had a red shade. In the early days of FNAF 4, he was nicknamed "Spring Freddy" before Nightmare Freddy became his confirmed name, he was also thought to be red.

It's very likely you will never even encounter Nightmare Freddy due to how easy his mechanic is. In this game, the Freddles one by one will appear behind the player, and if you don't shine your light on them before all 3 of them show up and stay on the bed too long, Nightmare Freddy will appear and kill you.
FNAF: Sister Location:
Nightmare Freddy is not in this game. However, the blueprint map, where it marks squares indicating there's an animatronic, marks four in what is believed to be the room from FNAF 4, indicating Nightmare Freddy is there.
Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria Simulator:

Ultimate Custom Night:

Nightmare Freddy returns for the ultimate custom night and is listed as the 19th character on the character select screen. In this game, he works similar to FNAF 4, Freddles will appear in the office and you have to make them all go away or else Nightmare Freddy will appear and kill you.
