"What?!" Mary Margret says
"Umm you know how you told me that you lost your child. Well I was the child you lost"
"How do you know this" David asks
"I ran a DNA test, it was positive"
"How long have you known" Mary Margret asks
"Well I suspected about a year ago but I wasn't sure until yesterday"
"Your alive............who found you, did you ever know anything about us" Mary Margret asks
"All I ever knew was that I was abandoned on the side of a freeway. Some woman found me and brought me to a diner. I grew up in the foster system. I looked for my parents for awhile but no one ever knew anything"
"Do you have a blanket" Mary Margret asks
"A baby blanket?" Emma asks
"As my step mother Cora was ripping you out of my arms I asked her to wrap you in a blanket that I made. It said Emma on it"
"I do have it. Otherwise my name probably wouldn't be Emma"
Mary Margret stands up and hugs Emma, David joins them
"We found her David, our daughter" Mary Margret says with tears in her eyes
"I never thought we would" David says
They all have tears running down their cheeks now.
"I don't know what to say" Emma says
"You don't have to say anything. We're just happy you're alive and happy" Mary Margret says.
Emma looks sadly at Killian. He gives her a nod of encouragement
"Henry and I will be outside, just let us know when we can come back in" Killian says.
He drags Henry outside on the porch so they can have privacy. Emma pulls back from the hug
"I imagined my whole life what this moment would be like. I hated you all my life because you left me. I was alone and no one ever wanted me. But now I find out that it was against your will, and I'm still angry. I grew up feeling like a worthless piece of shit because of you......but I shouldn't be angry"
"Emma you can be angry, we should've been stronger. We were 16 and stupid. I know we can't make up for lost time" David says
"You can yell at us, we feel terrible for what happened. We never could have another child and we never wanted to. All we've ever wanted was you. Now we have you, and you're having a baby" Mary Margret says
"Can you tell me exactly what happened" Emma asks
"Of course, we will" David says
They sit back down and Emma listens to her mother
"My mother died when I was ten and my father remarried. He married this woman named Cora who was absolutely awful to me. My father died a year after she married him. I was alone, until I met David. David had lost his father and brother when he was young so we had something in common. We fell in love in high school and I ended up getting pregnant. On the day I found out I was pregnant, David's mother died. He filed for emancipation and was able to live alone. We agreed that we were going to raise the baby together. My step mother had other plans. When I went into labor she forced us to stay in the house. She delivered my baby and took her from me. David tried to rush after her but she had a gun. I never saw her again, or you. I assumed she took the baby or left it in the woods to die. Either way she hated her life and wanted to get away from me. We searched in the woods for days and days but we never found you. Eventually we lost hope of ever finding you"
Mary Margret was in tears by the end of her story.
"It really means a lot that you waned to meet us Emma" David replies
"I'm happy to meet you. Now my children will have two sets of grandparents" Emma says through tears
"How many children do you have" David asks
"Well Henry, who I had when I was 18. I can tell you that story another day. I have twins, a boy and girl named Liam and Ava. They will be two in April"
"Your daughters name is Ava?" Mary Margret asks
"Yes, its my middle name that the first orphanage gave me"
"Ava was my mothers name" Mary Margret says
"That's quite a coincidence" Emma says
"It must be fate" David says
"Well how about I go get Killian and Henry and we can finish dinner" Emma says
"Sounds good" they both reply.
Killian and Henry rejoin the table and they all continue eating. They talk about school and such. Killian and Emma tell them about their wedding and all about the twins. Henry talks about his boat and fun family stories they have. He also shares stories about his time living with the Nolans. He is going to call them grandma and grandpa now. Killian's parents agreed to be called Nana and Papa now. Nana sounds like Anna and Callum has always wanted a different name besides grandpa so this is his opportunity. At 7, they hear the doorbell ring. Killian answers and it's his parents bringing back the twins
"Were they good today" Killian asks as his kids walk through the door
"For the most part. They had fun with Nana and Papa" Callum says
"I'm glad you like your new names. Emma told me you thought of them this morning"
"Yes we did. They're much better. Are her parents still here" Anna asks
"Yes they're in the kitchen. You can come meet them" Killian says
Killian takes the twins and heads into the kitchen. He hands one to Emma and she kisses them both. Anna and Callum say hi to Mary Margret and David. They leave shortly after that. The rest of them sit in the living room. Mary Margret holds Ava and David holds Liam
"They are adorable Emma" Mary Margret says
"Yes but they're also trouble makers right" Emma says looking at her kids
"No!" Ava and Liam reply
"That is their favorite word" Killian says
The twins play with the toys in the living room with Henry. The adults continue talking. Emma has a wonderful time with her parents. At 8 they leave but not before setting up another time to talk with their daughter. They are going to try and meet once a week so they can get to know each other. The twins are excited to meet new people and Henry is overjoyed that is favorite teacher is now his grandma.
