It's March and Emma is three months pregnant. They haven't told the kids yet, they want to wait until she is four months that way the possibility of a miscarriage is very small. Today Killian is leaving to go to New York for two weeks. He wakes up early and makes the whole family breakfast before the kids have to go to their morning preschool. When everyone's awake they sit down and eat together.
"Daddy why do you have to go!" James asks
"I have to go because I'm going to be working with chefs"
"When can we see you on tv!" Ava asks
"I'm not sure sweetie it could be awhile. I'll find out and let you guys know"
"Dada bye bye?" Ellie says
"Yes my baby, don't worry I'll FaceTime you every night"
"But mommy can't cook!" Liam says
"That's true but Grace my sue chef is a great cook."
"I'll try my best" Grace says
After breakfast Killian places all of his bags into his car. The kids all kiss him and say goodbye. Baloo gives him a nice lick on his cheek. Henry and Grace take the kids inside while Emma stays outside next to the car
"I'll be back soon my love"
"I know, I'm really going to miss you. We haven't been apart for more than a couple days since we got married"
"I know. I could leave later and take you to the ultrasound appointment"
"Babe my appointment is at 11, I know you need to get to New York. I'll be fine, I'll call you when it's over"
"When should we tell the kids"
"Let's just see how this appointment goes"
"Alright well I love you. I'll call you when I arrive"
"I love you too"
They kiss and Killian drives off. Emma goes back inside.
"Alright Ava, Liam, James let's get going. School time!" Emma says
"Mama I don't want to go" James says
"Baby it's just a couple hours okay"
Emma gets them in the van and drives them to school. Henry and Grace take online classes so they stay at home with Ellie. Emma drives 10 minutes to drop Ava off at a bus stop for her school.
"Bye Honey, I'll be right here to pick you up"
"By mommy!" Ava says
Emma continues to drive 20 minutes until she gets to the preschool. She walks them inside their classrooms and leaves them in the care of the teachers. She will pick them up at 12:30 when their school has ended. Emma goes back home and plays with Ellie in the living room.
"Mama! Dada!"
"I know honey, daddy is at work. We can talk to him tonight. Let's read this book"
