Emma wakes up in a hospital bed, fluorescent lights shine brightly and hurt her eyes. She sees a nurse standing in the room with her. She has an IV in her arm and bandages all over her.
"Where am I" Emma asks alarmed and groans in pain
The nurse approaches her bed "Mrs. Jones everything is okay, you were in a car accident, now you're in the hospital"
"My kids, I need to see my kids and my husband" Emma says and tries to get out of bed. The nurse pushes her down
"First, let me just tell you that your baby is okay"
"My babies were in my car, where are they!"
"No, I mean the baby in your uterus"
"No.........no that's impossible......my husband had a vasectomy" Emma says confused
"Have you slept with anyone else"
"No! Of course not!"
"Well sometimes vasectomies can reverse themselves which is why you must have checkups for a year afterwards. It happens commonly so you're supposed to use protection for a year. You are about a month along and the baby is healthy. Also your knee was injured in the accident so you have to wear a brace for a couple of weeks. You have some minor cuts and bruises from glass but everything else is okay"
"I really need to see my children and my husband, where are they"
"Mrs. Jones I have two of your kids here. I don't know anything about your husband or other children." The nurse brings Ava and Liam into the room. They run to their mother and get up on the bed with her
"Mommy!!" Liam says. She hugs them tightly
"I'm so glad you guys are okay" Emma says
"I told the nurse who you were. They don't know where daddy is or Ellie, James, Elliot and Gabe" Ava says scared
"Mrs. Jones we are looking for them, this was a massive accident with many unidentified people. Many children were in the accident, your daughter has given me descriptions of each of them and I am searching." The nurse says
"Please I have to look for them, can I leave this room" Emma begs
"Yes you are fine, you just need to rest, you may wait in the waiting room. I'm very busy but I will let you know if I find anything" the nurse replies than leaves.
Emma gets out of bed and walks with the kids outside the room. There are many doctors and people running around.
"Mommy are we going to find them" Liam asks
"Of course honey, we will find them." Emma replies
Emma needs to get a doctors attention to help her. She knows that she has to pick one who will listen to her. She approaches a male doctor with blonde hair.
"Excuse me sir, can you help me please. I need to find my children"
The man turns around and speaks with a Australian accent. He takes a slight pause before answering "umm sure miss, I'm Dr. Chase"
"I'm Emma Jones. I need to find my husband and my kids please, they are very young"
"Well I am actually on my way to a surgery now, how about you come along with me to the OR's and we will search for your children"
