Since when has Wattpad become a dating site? Or a best friend hunting site?

Umm... let's see...

It has never been designed to be one!

Wattpad was and still is built on writing books and reading other people's stories. It has never been to find a boyfriend/girlfriend or to find your long lost bro or sis.

I'm here to have fun, write my books, read amazing books, and talk to people who also love what I'm interested in.

Yes, I use Wattpad as a social outlet too. It helps me in many ways. Especially with feedback and also meeting new people.

But making friends while enjoying the site is different than hunting one down.

Most of us are here for books, not someone to constantly bug or annoy.

And while I don't have many friends on here (simply because I don't go to the clubs much, I'm more of a comment spammer on books) I do make some great ones while using Wattpad as what it was intended for.

But seriously... Why are people trying to find a boyfriend or girlfriend on here?

I get some people want to find someone who loves books like them, but there's dating apps and websites that can do that. Tinder, Hot or Not, Match, and eHarmony are just a few. You can seriously find out if someone likes books on those websites easily!

And anyways, why date through Wattpad? I'd probably be ignoring my partner's messages due to writing my own books or reading one. Finding them through another app will help to send you a notification as you read or write.

Just... Stop.

If romance is demanded on Wattpad, go suck off of the romance books, not a person. No sexual puns intended.

Read a book, not some wattpadian's messages to make sure they're not cheating.

Write a dramatic story, not some smutty role play with your "Wattpad partner".

Do I make myself clear? Stop with being thirsty people!
