Just things that peeve me off here on Wattpad and things in general. Instead of filling my tip book with rants, I'll put them here so they don't clutter up space I could be putting writing advice.

Okay, I just logged into Wattpad on my computer and decided to check my notifications while I wait for Sims 3 to load up. What do I see?
I see a girl commented on my feed asking me to follow her.
Here's screenshot from my feed page to show the comment. I find this excuse for followers a bit ridiculous too...

But a puppy if she gets 1000 followers? Really?
I scrolled through her own feed to get a grasp for her age, based on her saying some things that sound very high school like with how classes are described, I highly doubt her boyfriend is getting her a puppy if she wins the bet.
I smell attention for reads and followers.
Like seriously? Baiting people by saying you'll get a puppy?
Earning reads and followers is hard work. Spamming people and begging are so annoying. I found I didn't like that from people all the way back in 2014 when I joined this site. I was on here for only a few months before I swore off looking at books or following people who'd just ask me to follow them or read their books (in which I have no interest in).
Also, I looked over this person's books. They're all romances and either males I don't know or male characters I have no romantic interest in. So no, hun, I will not read your books.
Again, I will say this to anyone who approaches me in the hopes of me checking out their works.
DO NOT make a comment in my inbox, feed/conversation, or in comments in my books.
DO make genuine care and conversation. Be a friend, someone I can enjoy and like. It is then I may follow and check your stories out. But only if you write stories in my interest. I'll follow to support people even if they don't write what I like but are a friend.
But remember this, if you do it only to get me to support or promote you, I will drop you immediately. I do not tolerate being used for personal gain.
