To watch the world piece itself back together in the way that it did in that moment made me almost glaze over. I felt so overwhelmed that I wasn't even present in the moment. I was carried up into the atmosphere, and I watched as the horror on Sky's face unravelled.

"Where am I?" She asked, sitting up almost immediately, ignoring the pain that probably struck through her, considering the condition she's in.

I couldn't help but gape at her. I probably should've been helping her, but I suddenly felt frozen in my spot.

Jace tentatively stepped forward, swallowing. I could see him deliberating the situation, trying to figure out the best way to deal with it. Whatever he decided was right, I would follow. He was, after all, a therapist.

He smiled. "Everything's okay, Sky. How are you feeling?" So. He avoids the subject completely; doesn't confirm Elle's connection to Sky, but doesn't deny it.

Sky frowned, switching her focus from Elle to Jace, a tired look glazed over her eyes. "Confused. Where am I?" She asked, before looking around, observing the room wholly. She relaxed a little when she saw me.

But then I saw her smile fall. "Where's Jameson?" She asked, panic jarring her features.

I took a quick step forward, putting my hand out to stop her from fretting. "He's outside this room. It's okay. You're both okay." I think that meant more to me than it did to her.

I had watched the fire consume the house. And consume them.

Only a spark, and all that would be left is ashes—and one dainty, but strong, luminous silver ring, a crystal laced with gold sat atop.

A rockstar ring for a rockstar relationship.

I snapped out of the nightmare, seeing Jace intervene as he caught sight of Sky staring at Elle. "Don't worry about anything," he told her, "we've figured everything out. Everything's okay."

I, however, wasn't sure that it was.

Elle cleared her throat, "is the entrance clear now?" She asked me, gaining Sky's curiosity once more.

I nodded. "Jameson threw a rather discombobulated plan together." I told her, watching her lips upturn slightly.

"Of course he did."

I turned towards Sky once more, watching as she began to speak. "Can someone explain–"

And then the door opened.
The love of her life entered the room.

He froze once he was aware that she was awake, which weirdly took him longer than I had expected.

His face lightened, his lips parted, and his eyes widened slightly.

Sky, unaware of the time he had spent without her, grinned at him, tears in her eyes.

They quickly enclosed the space between them, colliding in a heart-bursting hug. I'll admit, I ship them; I'll gladly be a third wheel to this relationship.

I couldn't help but stare, no matter how uncomfortable I felt just awkwardly dwindling on the side.

Sky broke away from the hug in tears, beckoning me in. "Come hug me you idiot." A wide smile broke out on my face before I joined their hug.

Yeah, definitely a third wheel.

Embracing them both, and feeling their presence surround me, I knew I was safe, both physically and mentally.
