"...okay, can I open my eyes now?" I asked, a grin on my face as I outstretched my hands, trying to feel around for Jace.

He grabbed them and laughed. "You're more impatient than I realised." I heard him say, which made me laugh.

"Now?" I asked after a few moments.

I heard a weird noise from Jace. "Seriously, every time I blink you ask if it's 'now'." He commented, making me laugh again.

"Okay," He said, before clearing his throat, "now."

I hesitated. "You sound nervous."

"Come on, Lex, you were pestering me for a good minute and now you–"

I opened my eyes suddenly, catching Jace off-guard. He looked beautiful, as always.

"Are you my present?" I found myself asking him, which probably just buried me about twenty feet under his parents house. He flushed slightly, but didn't respond.

And so I continued to wait for him to produce something; when he didn't, I frowned. He smiled and pointed upwards. I rose an eyebrow, but then I followed his finger and looked upwards. My lips parted when I saw what it was.

Beautiful crystal lights shone on the ceiling, displaying a night sky.

"It's the–"

"–constellation of my star sign, yeah." I interrupted, eyes fixated on the shimmering stars above me. It almost looked real, though I knew it was just the work of a projector.

"Oh, Jace." I said, a grin on my face. I looked at him, "it's so–" I paused when I saw that he was holding out a red box, and inside the box was another constellation.

My heart warmed, and I smiled up at Jace. His face lit up when he saw my reaction and he started to unearth the necklace which also held the constellation of my star sign. I watched as he produced it, grinning up at him.

"It's beautiful." I said, admiring it. Jace gestured for me to turn; I did, pulling up my hair so that he could put the necklace on.

Once it was on, I held onto the constellation, admiring the gold crafting.

"See? Nothing special."

I turned suddenly and threw myself into him. He caught me almost graciously, and then wound his arms around me.

We stayed in our embrace for a few moments, and just before we pulled away, I spoke into the crook of his neck, saying, "thank you."

We pulled away and I picked up the necklace once more to gaze down at it.

"Now I have to figure out what to get you." I said as Jace started to pack up the projector, only a few minutes after our embrace.

He laughed. "Grab me a star." He joked.

I winked at him. "I am a star."
