The air had an extra spark of nervousness to it the rest of the day. Eddy found himself googling to figure out what the hell he'd do when it came down to it, but trying to hide it from Brett to not seem like an idiot for not even reading up on it before. The whole idea of it made him embarrassed and excited at the same time.
Brett on the other hand jumped three meters straight up every time Eddy touched him. It wasn't that he didn't want him to touch him, but rather that he was nervous about Eddy potentially wanting to get going already.

They ordered a pizza for dinner that evening and sat together on the couch eating it while some gameshow they weren't paying that much attention to ran on tv.
"That's some good pizza", Eddy commented as he bit down into the perfectly melted cheese. Brett made a confirming sound, but didn't say anything. Eddy looked over at him, placed his pizza down on the box snd snuck an arm around his waist.
"You okay?" he asked, kissing the side of his head. Brett shrugged.
"Just nervous, I guess", he said, followed by a nervous laugh he tried to suppress. Eddy nodded, pulling him closer.

"I mean, we don't have to if you...", Eddy began, but Brett interrupted him
"No no, we'll do it", he said quickly, cheeks flaring up. "Just... I'm nervous about having stuff up my butt, okay?"
Eddy couldn't help but snort at the comment, and Brett looked up at him, a bit shaken by the fact that he laughed.
"What?" he asked, and Eddy couldn't help but giggle a little.
"It just sounded so weird when you said it like that", Eddy explained, still not able to contain a few giggles. Brett took a bite of his pizza.
"Very funny", he mumbled, chewing on the bite of pizza and scooted slightly further away from Eddy while his cheeks were burning red.

"No no no, dude, I'm sorry. I'm nervous too, okay? I didn't mean to joke about it. I'm sorry", Eddy said quickly, wrapping his arms tightly around him and kissing his cheek. Brett snorted.
"You nervous? What the heck do you have to be nervous about?" he asked, looking up at him. Eddy shrugged and grabbed his slice of pizza again, picking at it for a bit.
"Dunno, it just being weird or hurting you or something", he mumbled before quickly taking a large bite of the pizza, focusing his eyes completely on the gameshow on tv without actually paying attention to it.
"That's what you're nervous about?" Brett asked, feeling his cheeks heat up slightly. He thought it was sweet of him to worry about that. Eddy shifted uncomfortably.
"I know it's stupid and it's you who have the biggest reason to be nervous", he mumbled, running a hand through his hair. "I dunno, I'm just scared I'll mess up, I guess."
Brett reached out to rub his back.
"Just don't fall asleep and everything else can be sorted out", he said, trying to sound serious, but a smile was playing on his lips. Eddy couldn't help but laugh.
"I'll try my best", he grinned and leaned down to kiss Brett gently.
"You better", Brett mumbled jokingly against Eddy's lips and tangled one hand into his hair.
