Brett had not expected Eddy to ask him to come to a fancy restaurant in Paris with him, but he certainly wasn't complaining as they walked down the streets of Paris, hand in hand, and with Eddy leading the way. It was nice getting out after spending a day in bed together.

"So what's the occasion?" Brett asked as they turned a corner, passing a closed flower shop. Had it been open, Brett would certainly have stopped to buy Eddy a rose. Eddy squeezed his hand lightly.

"Do I need an occasion to treat my boyfriend?" Eddy asked, smiling innocently. Brett felt his cheeks warm up, and stopped them for a moment to kiss him gently and let his hand cup Eddy's face gently.

"No occasion, but I felt like treating you for a change," Eddy finally answered Brett's question with a smile, brushing a stray hair away from his forehead. "Cause you deserve it."

Brett pulled Eddy into another quick kiss to avoid showing how giggly he got hearing Eddy being so charming. He felt his boyfriend smile against his lips, and he grabbed his hand again as they let the kiss go.

"It's just around the corner," Eddy said softly with a smile Brett had some trouble placing a feeling to. The smile looked kind of giddy, in a way. Adorable.

Eddy opened the door for him as they got to the restaurant, letting him step into the candlelit room that immediately caused him to feel underdressed despite wearing a suit.

"Reservation for Chen," Eddy told the hostess, who nodded and guided the two men past a few other tables to a table that was somewhat secluded. Eddy pulled out the chair for Brett with a smirk that made Brett blush as he sat down.

"So, since when did you become such a gentleman?" Brett asked as he watched his boyfriend sit down across from him. Eddy laughed sweetly and took Brett's hand over the table, gently tracing the back of his hand and ending up running a fingertip softly up his ring finger. The touch sent shivers down Brett's spine.

"I guess it's just been hard to show when I'm always the one being treated," he shrugged, looking down at their hands. This time it was Brett's turn to laugh.

"We both know it's not true you're the only one getting treated in this relationship," he pointed out, seeing Eddy's cheeks gradually burning up. A playful grin formed on Brett's lips seeing it, but he didn't have time to entertain it further before the waiter came by.

"Would the gentlemen like to start with a drink? Perhaps a glass of champagne?" he asked, and Eddy had to clear his throat to speak.

"Oh, yeah, that would be nice. What do you think, Brett?"

"I mean, sure, yeah," Brett said, sending Eddy a sweet, assuring smile. He seemed almost nervous, but Brett thought it was just his shy side showing. He loved the shy side of Eddy.

The waiter left them with two menus and went to fetch the champagne for them. Eddy opened the menu and Brett copied him.

"I don't even know what any of these words mean, but this time I'm certain they're French," Brett joked, looking up at Eddy who tried his best to jold back a snort.

"Yeah, no pollo on this menu," Eddy confirmed with a laugh. "I think anything on here would be good, though. At least I hope so, looking at the prices."

Brett found himself giggling at their silly joke, thinking back to their first proper date. He reached out to hold Eddy's hand again.

"Did I tell you how much I love you? Because it's a lot," Brett said, feeling a smile form on his lips, matching Eddy's.

"God how embarrassing it would be if you didn't love me," Eddy said with a grin, running his thumb over the back of Brett's hand. Brett couldn't help but notice that his hands were slightly clammy. "I love you too."
