Dumbledore left the hospital and cast the ward into silence. The silence was suffocating. Lina peered under the blankets covering her body, she was still wearing her clothes her knees had grass and mud stains on them.

Lina needed to leave this room, she needed to find Lucy and Danny.

"You've got to take the rest of your potion Harry," Mrs Weasley said, she reached for the Goblet and Lina watched her with no emotion "you have a good long sleep. Try and think about something else for a while...think about what you're going to buy with you winging."

"I don't want the gold," Harry said, he sounded as emotionless as Lina felt "you have it. Anyone can have it. I shouldn't have won it. It should've been Cedric's" he turned to face Lina "it's my fault he's dead Lina, I'm so sorry."

"He's not dead!" Lina snapped, she knew Harry was trying to be nice, she could only imagine the guilt he must be feeling but Cedric wasn't dead, Harry sounded like he had already given up hope but Lina wouldn't not until his heart stopped beating and maybe even after. "Cedric's not dead so can everyone stop acting like he is" Lina pushed the covers off her body and scrambled out of bed.

"Lina dear, you need to rest," Mrs Weasley said reaching for her.

Lina jerked away "no I need Cedric, I need to find my friends, I need them" Lina ran out the ward before anyone could stop her.

Lucy and Danny were stood opposite the hospital doors. Lina's, Lucy's and Danny's face broke into expressions of relief. Lina and Lucy ran forward and met each other halfway, they gripped onto each other as if, if they let go they would die.

And they cried, no words were spoken, none needed to be, Lina and Lucy sunk to the floor, he had both his arms wrapped around the girls. He too was crying.

They didn't move, they just stayed on the floor crying in lost for their friend.

The next couple of days were hell for Lina. She had stopped going to her classes, that wasn't to say she hadn't tried, she had. Lina had gone to her Herbology lessons but all anyone wanted to talk about was Cedric, it had all gotten too much and Lina had run and not gone back.

Lina instead spent her days curled up in her bed refusing to see anyone but Lucy and Danny who often bought food and their company for her.

This wasn't how it was supposed to be, these last few days of school were meant to be filled with laughter and kisses not heartbreak and tears. Lucy had somehow convinced Lina to go to the end of year feast. Lina had dressed and brushed her hair but her eyes were still red and puffy, they always seemed to be like that at the moment.

Lina had her arm linked with Lucy and her best friend kept her close. "If it gets too much we can leave," Lucy told her.

"I need to do this, I've been hiding since it happened" Lina whispered, her voice never got louder than that "am I being pathetic?" She asked.
