Dan would see him atleast once every class every day a week except for Thursday. Him being Phil. Phil being Dan's ultimate crush.
Through every lessons, as subtly as possible would Dan turn his head to take in Phil's beauty, but he would always be surrounded by some girls.
But Dan didn't care. He felt as if he could burst for joy once Phil actually spoke to him.
It was a normal Monday and he wa waiting for his friends at break when Phil walked by with two of his friends.
"Hey Dan." Phil said shyly.
Dan stared wide-eyed.
"Fine just ignore me then." Phil laughed eyes lighting up as he did so.
"Er h-hey." Dan stuttered out as he blushed lightly, watching as Dan smiled back, walking away.

Phil soon started hanging out with Dan and his friends occasionally, mainly just him. They would walk around school and simply talk.
Dan would talk about whatever was on his mind, which consisted of anime, youtubers and video games.
"S-Sorry...I must be boring you." Dan blushed.
"No no please continue. I love seeing you talk about what you like, your smile is so cute and you eyes light up it's honestly adorable."
"...O-Okay."

When Valentines was around the corner, Dan had a teddy bear and chocolates ready for the day on Friday.
However, as soon as Monday came, Phil suprised him with a gift already, a heart shaped necklace. Dan treasured it.
On Tuesday, they spent the day together, just talking about the dorkiest stuff.
When Wednesday came, things got different.
"HI CHRIS." Dan heard Phil yell and he turned around with a pout. He was currently walking with Chris so he looked hopefully at Phil as Phil shrugged. "Hey."
To say that Dan felt let down was an understatement. It was as if he had been ignored and of course never being in a relationship before, Dan was left confused the entire day.
On the way home, Phil's friends stopped him, Phil nowhere to be seen. They all had smug grins on their faces.
"What's up?" Dan smiled.
One of his friends laughed. "Well...Phil to tell you something..."
Dan bit his lip. "I-Is it bad?"
The girl nodded happily.
Dan walked home anxiously after that, immediently texting Phil to ask what was up.
But he replied with souless words that broke Dan's heart. Words that said that it wasn't working. That his friends had convinced him who to and not to hang out with and he knows now.
This was so stupid and childish and to think that it was probably all a prank by his friends.
And Dan endedup throwing away the stupid teddy bear and eating all the chocolates himself.
So on Thursday. Dan's friends had his back.
Pj.
He grabbed the necklace, gave it back to Dan.
Only, he stepped on it and broke it first, smiling widely. "Here you go! He doesn't want your cheap shit anyway!"
Then Chris.
Pj would be sure to walk around Phil at school and notice how he was completly unharmed by th breakup, claiming that it was a prank and that Dan was boring and annoying anyway.
So Chris did what any friend would do.
"HE WAS OUT OF YOUR LEAGUE ANYWAT YOU TWAT. DAN DOESN'T DESERVE A FUCKBOI LIKE YOU, YOU IGNORANT ASSHOLE!!!" Chris shouted as he walked past Phil.
So yeah, after all, Dan didn't get to be with Phil. Because some high school relationships are stupid and nohing like those in fanfiction aus. Sadly.
