"What is stronger than the human heart which shatters over and over and still lives." -Rupi Kaur

I'm a fucking lunatic. A psychopath, if you would. I've been trying so hard to not become what I'm destined to be. But fate is a stubborn bitch who won't let me be a good person.

Time stopped, for a moment. I couldn't tell whether I had died or killed somebody. Maybe both? All I knew was my brain went to autopilot. As soon as my gun shot, my whole view on reality shifted.

The ear scratching scream of my mother pierced our ears as she fell to the ground. She collapsed to the hospital floor, holding her shoulder for dear life. Leonardo collapsed down with her, making sure she was okay.

My emotions must have turned off because I completely disregarded the fact I had just shot my mother. I tucked my gun back into my jacket and ran to Harry. The poor guy was about to escape in a fucking hospital gown.

"We've got to go." I frantically whispered while helping him unhook from all his machines and needles.

"Kennedy, slow down. You just shot your mum." Harry's words went through one ear and out the other. I didn't care right now, I could worry later.

"Let's go." I grabbed onto his hand and helped him turn himself to the side and off of the bed.

"You're going to regret this Kennedy." Harry whispered while standing up as quietly as he could.

"I know." I whispered back before wrapping my arm around him and glancing towards Leonardo.

Leonardo wasn't even acknowledging our escape. He was too fixated on my bleeding mother. This was my sign to run. I quicken our pace, forcing Harry to fight through his pain.

I swung open the door and switched from Harry's waist to his hand. I interlocked our fingers and dragged him down the hallway and to the elevator. Nurses shouted at us as we ran as fast as we could down the hallway, but I ignored every single one of their annoying voices.

"Move!" I shouted as nurses and doctors crowded the entrance of the elevator. They all moved out of the way, leaving the empty elevator to just us.

Harry collapsed his body to the wall of the elevator as I slammed on the parking garage button. The elevator doors shut and began to make their way down to the parking garage.

"Are you okay?" I questioned as time began to catch up to me. I wasn't hit just yet by what had happened, but it was coming.

"I'm in a fuck ton of pain but I'll be okay." Harry panted as he moved his body to stand up straight.

"We'll get you some weed to ease the pain." I patted his good shoulder while anxiously waiting for the elevator doors to open.

"I just wanna let you know, this is very sexy of you." Harry chuckled lustfully while whispering into my ear.

"Say that to me when you're not wearing a hospital gown." I chuckled out of breath while watching the numbers slowly decrease.

"Fuck you." Harry scoffed.

"Listen, once we get to a car, I'm making you relax. You're going to break your stitches." I glanced down at his stomach and how he was holding it. Harry groaned in slight agony.

"Fuck, yea I agree." Harry hissed as the elevator doors open to the parking garage. I quickly grabbed his hand and dragged him out of the elevator.

I moved us as quickly as I could through the rows of cars, trying to find an easy car to hijack. And then I saw it. Sitting at the end of the row was a beautiful two seater motorcycle with a helmet on the seat and the keys still in the ignition.
