"What?" I asked. Aang shrugs his shoulders. "You're the one who said you'll make sure that we'd stay out of trouble. So?" He said. Sokka gives me a pleasing look. I let out a sigh. "Fine... but this is only because that man is a scammer..." I said. They let out a cheer at what I said. Let's hope nothing bad happens out of this.
-Becoming A Scammer-

I watch as a man loses to the game. I cross my arms across my chest. The man turns to us and notices Toph. I can see a smirk spreading across his face.
"You there. Wanna play a friendly game?" He said. "How can I possibly play? I'm blind" Toph said. She waves her hand in front of her face to act along. I just bit my lips, trying to hold my laughter. "You don't have to see to be lucky" the man said. Oh... if only you know.
Toph sits in front of the man and start feeling on the table. She's really good at pretending to be helpless. I think she should be an actress instead. The man in front of her won't know what's coming to him.
The man starts to do the thing. Once he's done, Toph points at the one to her left. The man opens the cup to reveal a piece of rock.
"Flamey-O, Toph!" Aang said, in excitement. The man gives us 2 silver piece. "Wow. Fancy guessing. You are amazing at this. Would you like to make the game a little more interesting?" The man said.
"More interesting? How?" Toph said. "Well, let's say you toss in your friends fine swords there, then I'll put up twenty silver pieces against it, and that's more interesting" he said. Toph takes Sokka's sword and my dual swords. Oh, you better not messed up Toph.
"I'll do it for forty silver pieces" Toph said. "Forty silver pieces it is" the man said, placing a couple more silver piece inside the bag. The man starts to do his thing.
Toph points at the one in the center. "Sorry, little lady. But- huh??" He said, in shock when he realize the rock is there. "I won!!" Toph said. She grabs the bag of silver pieces. I grab my dual swords, along with Sokka.

We are heading back to our camp, carrying baskets of goods. I look forward and notice Katara cooking something inside a pot. She turns to look at us. I can see a look of confusion on her face.
"Where did you guys get the money to buy all this stuff?" She said. "Toph got us money" Aang said. "She scammed one of those guys in town who moves the shells around all sneaky-like" I said. I notice a look of disapproval spreading across her face.
"She used earthbending to win the game! Classic!" Sokka said, sitting down. "Ah, so she cheated" Katara said. "Hey! I only cheated because he was cheating! I cheated a cheater. What's wrong with that?" Toph said, defensively. Katara turns to look at me.
"And you're okay with that?" She said. I furrow my eyebrow as I cross my arms across my chest. "Okay. Why is it suddenly on me?" I asked. "Maybe because you're one of the matured ones out of us!" She said. I scoff and walk towards her.
"And look what that gave me?? I acted mature. And I let myself fell in love, like most matured people do! But what do I get??" I snapped. She flinched at my tone. But I ignore that and continue to stare at her in anger.
"I got betrayed. I get torn apart! Heck! I even lost my bending... Avatar Roku said that me and Aang must work together, combining our strengths as the Avatars in order to end the war. But look at me! I'm stuck like this! I'm tired, Katara... TIRED!! So let me have FUN for once!" I yelled at her. I turn around and walks away, not letting her say a word.
Aang P.O.V
"Y/N..." I said, standing up. She didn't say anything and keeps walking. I let out a sigh and turn to look at Katara. "Why'd you say something like that, Katara?" I said, in a calm voice.
"I didn't mean to say it to upset her... I didn't know she would react that way" she said. I let out a sigh and run my hand through my hair. "You should know that she's very sensitive after what happened, Katara. You need to be careful with what you said to her" I said.
"Way to go, Katara... you make Y/N upset" Toph said. I turn to look at Toph. "Toph... please? Not now..." I said. Katara turns to look at her. "I'm just saying this isn't something we should make a habit of doing! And I expected Y/N to know that... since she's the mature one" she said. Toph scoffs at what she said.
"Why? Because it's fun? And you hate fun?" She said. "I don't hate fun! See? Fun!" Katara said, as she place Momo on top of her head. Momo slips off her head and screeches angrily. He runs off after that.
"Katara, I'll personally make you an Avatar Promise that we won't make a habit of doing these scams" I said, showing her my tattoo. Katara smiles and nods her head in satisfaction.

I sit by the cliff. I let my feet dangle over it. I let my tears stream down my cheeks, not bothering to wipe them away. It's useless anyway, more tears would only slip out of my eyes.
"Y/N..." someone said. I turn my head to see Aang. He stands not far from me with a sad gaze. He walks over from me and take a seat next to me. He wraps an arm around my shoulder. I scoot closer to him, placing my head on his shoulder.
He gently runs his hand through my hair. "I'm sure Katara didn't mean to hurt you like that... it was just a heat in the moment" he said. I just nod my head at what he said.
"I know... I'm sorry that I overreacted. It's just... I've been trying to act strong after losing my bending. I'm sure you know that our bending is like apart of our identity. So... to lose them, I just... I don't know. I feel like I don't matter anymore..." I said. I bit my lips as I try to stop crying.
"Y/N no... don't say that. I'm still alive, and it's all thanks to you. Your bending are not working right now maybe because you overused your spiritual energy. I believe that you'd gain them back someday. We just have to find out how. So never say anything like that. You're my sister... you'll always matter to me" he said. I just nod my head. He wraps his arms around me, pulling me closer. I bury my face into the crook of his neck, hugging his torso.
Losing my bending is probably one of the hardest thing I have to face. I feel weak and useless without them. I wish they'd come back. But will I?
