As soon as Jiang Cheng, Nie Huisang and Wen Ning left to collect their belongings, Jin Zixuan whispered, "Lady Yanli, are you sure you want to join this investigation? It might get dangerous..." his voice filled with concern
"I'll be fine, Jin Gongzi," Yanli assured with her confident smile while A'xian smirked seeing Jin Zixuan's bewildered look

"Wangji," Lan Xichen replied with a knowing smile
"Why?" Lan Wangji asked, frowning ever so slightly
"Well, I can say many things but... you really wanted Wei Gongzi to join," Xichen answered watching his didi's slightly widened eyes, amusedly

"We are here!" Jiang Cheng announced
"Where's Nie Huisang? Is he not joining?" A'xian asked
"He's too afraid to join Wei Wuxian, you know how he peed in his pants, just after listening a horror story!" Jiang Cheng huffed, rolling his eyes..
Wei Wuxian, Yanli and Jin Zixuan laughed, remembering the scaredy-cat Nie Huisang's face when they told him a horror story last night...
They all left for the Caiyi Town along with a few Lan disciples, to do the investigation...
A'xian, Jiang Cheng, Jin Zixuan and Wen Ning travelled around the village, gathering all the information about the drowning incidents while the rest arranged for the boats...
By the late afternoon, they were all riding the boats in pairs, with Wen siblings and Lan brothers taking a boat each, while A'xian rode with Yanli and Jiang Cheng with Jin Zixuan, exploring every nook and cranny of the Biling Lake
