"Sect Leader Lan is suspended from his duties?!" Jiang Cheng asked frowning

"That too by his own father? The former Lan Sect Leader Qingheng-Jun?! I've only ever heard of him being strict and just with everyone, including himself. He's really a man who lives up to his reputation," Yanli said, astonished.

"Yes," Youling jie nodded while checking Wei Wuxian's vitals, "No offence, Lan er gongzi but the way Sect Leader Lan behaved with master today, I don't think a suspension is enough. I want an apology."

"Mn" Lan Zhan nodded, unhesitatingly

"Mama?" Ayuan mumbled sleepily in the cutest voice, as he woke up in arms that didn't feel like his mama's warm ones

"Oh no!" Jiang Cheng muttered under his breath

"Hi, Ayuan!" Yanli chirped softly

"Mama?!! Ayuan's mama?!" Ayuan's eyes welled up with tears as he looked at the unknown faces of Yanli and Jiang Cheng

"Child, don't be scared! Look, your mama is right behind you," Youling jie said calmly as Ayuan turned his head to look at unconscious Wei Wuxian lying on the bed

"Mama sleeping?" Ayuan asked poking Wei Wuxian's cheeks gently with his small pudgy finger after Yanli put him beside her Axian on the bed

"Yes, but Ayuan, didn't you want to meet Wei Wuxian's Shijie and Jiang Cheng?" Youling jie asked, diverting Ayuan's attention

"Yima and Jiujiu?" Ayuan tilted his head, pouting innocently, as he held his mama's hands firmly

"Yes, little one. She's your Yima, master's Shijie, Jiang Yanli and he's your Jiujiu, Jiang Cheng and Ayuan's Yima and Jiujiu, this is Wei Yuan, our Wei Wuxian's son," Youling jie introduced them to each other, amusedly

"Ayuan greets you, Yima and Jiujiu," Ayuan stood up on the bed next to Wei Wuxian quickly and bowed at Yanli and Jiang Cheng

"Acheng! He's so cute! Just like our me-Axian!" Yanli gushed out, happily

"Yes! he is," Jiang Cheng agreed, reluctantly, feeling miffed at the fact that this toddler can see Wei Wuxian's real appearance while he cannot, well, not unless Wei Wuxian lowers her illusion spell which last happened more than a year ago before they came to Cloud Recesses to attend the guest lectures

"Yellow eyes gege?!" Ayuan looked at Lan Zhan with a serious expression

Youling jie looked at Ayuan, alarmed and then at Lan er gongzi, shaking her head and gesturing a 'No'

"Mn?"

"Mama really sleeping?" Ayuan asked directly

"...No," Lan Zhan answered stoically, feeling confused about Ayuan's sudden query when he already asked this earlier from Youling jie

"Mama ...hurt?" Ayuan asked hesitantly

"No! Axian isn't hurt, Ayuan. He's just not well," Yanli tried to end the toddler's inquiry, seeing Youling jie's gesture but Ayuan kept staring at Lan Zhan for an answer

Lan Zhan frowned but answered honestly, "Yes"

And suddenly, Ayuan's honey-brown eyes welled up with tears as he started crying and shaking his mama to wake up and not leave him alone

"What just happened?" Jiang Cheng asked, bewildered

Youling jie glared at Lan er gongzi before answering, "Ayuan is just as talkative and inquisitive as Wei Wuxian. In the past five days, he learnt about every important person in his mama's life.

He knows that Yanli is the sweetest and makes the best lotus and pork rib soup, you're grumpy but caring, about me, Wen siblings, Healer Fu, Peacock, Nie Huisang, Sect Leader Lan, Lan Xixi but Ayuan knows the most about him," Youling jie pointed at a stunned Lan Zhan whose ears looked slightly red, "He knows Lan er gongzi is boring but an extremely talented cultivator, loves rules, eats green leaves and bland food, wears impeccably white robes.
