"This is soo boringg!! We've only been visiting temples for so many months now. Can we take a break and go somewhere...exciting?!" Wei Wuxian asked, eyes shining with excitement and hope

"No." Lan Zhan answered

"Whyyy?!!" Wei Wuxian wailed dramatically, "Lan Zhan, you fuddy-duddy, are you enjoying these silent, monotonous, extremely unexciting and dull temple visits? Don't you want to..maybe go and enjoy a fair or watch street plays or play games or learn new things besides studies and boring stuff, something like...flirting!" Wei Wuxian winked as her lips turned into a mischievous smile

"Wei Ying!" Lan Zhan glared.

"Tch tch tch!...Come on, Lan er gege! How old are you to be so offended and angry as if I've said something forbidden?!!

There isn't much to enjoy here anyways, the least I can do is flirt with some maidens and watch them blush and be all kinds of shy as I compliment their beauty or praise some handsome men and watch broad chests swell up with pride, their huge strong muscles flex and their steps falter with excitement. It's so much fun! Trust me Gege, it's the best way of spreading happiness and making people smile!" Wei Wuxian explained as she strolled in front of Lan Zhan and Youling Jie excitedly while waving his hands and smiling at the strangers and even giving flying kisses to the children, randomly, unaware of her Youling jie smiling amusedly and Lan Zhan...drinking vinegar, the sourest kind, with every word every action of his Wei Ying

"Oh oh! I know what we should do next!" Wei Wuxian turned around to face the usually stoic but angry Lan Zhan and her sweet Youling jie exuberantly and pointed her finger towards the nearest but popular-looking tavern decorated with coloured papers that were flowing with the wind and drawings of different shapes and motifs of all four major Sects around a huge wooden plaque hanging from the ceiling of the second floor of the tavern named, Tian Lu.

Lan Zhan's glare intensified making Wei Wuxian shiver with nervousness but it was quickly replaced by growing anticipation as she looked at her Youling jie hopefully, "Jie! We should go to that tavern. See! It looks so popular and is bustling with crowds. I'm sure we can get some information in there!"

"Master...you simply want to drink, don't you?" Youling jie smiled, knowingly

"Nooo! I'm saying the truth. One can get the best information in those types of taverns where people from around the world frequent and spill out their secrets and stories once drunk and well while we are at it, I can also treat myself to some Tian Lu," Wei Wuxian giggled excitedly

"Lan er gege...please?!!" Wei Wuxian looked at Lan Zhan with her doe-like sparkling silver eyes filled with happiness and a bit of uncertainty while pouting innocently

Lan Zhan took a deep breath, far from regaining his calm when his heart was still so sour with all the actions of his Wei Ying moments ago but even then how can he bear to ignore his Wei Ying's request, no matter how absurd it sounded, when she was looking at him like that...

And so, reluctantly and stiffly, Lan Zhan nodded in approval and Youling jie made herself invisible before they entered the tavern

"Welcome! Welcome, dear cultivators! What a pleasure of such beautiful gongzi gracing our humble tavern with their splendid presence!!" One of the tavern staff greeted and welcomed them loudly and extravagantly, much to Lan Zhan's dismay

"What shall I get for you, my dear esteemed cultivator?" The same staff asked the lively and smiling Wei Wuxian, cheekily, cautiously ignoring the scalding glare of the accompanying Lan cultivator. The strict alcohol aversion of all the Lan cultivators wasn't unknown to the cultivation world.
